Well, They Wanted A Fight,Didn't They?

They Should Have Known Already That When The RAVEN Comes, We Don't Fool Around; And, we Even Brought Some Friends To The Party!

This Image Was Taken Right After The Raven Jumped Into Orbit; They Were Not Kidding:

For Weeks, They Were Just Sitting At The Doorstep Of The Outpost, Probing And Harassing; Then, They Got Impatient, And Started To Kick The Door In; However, The Outpost Had The Good Sense To Call '911'!

  A Few Minutes Later After We Arrived, Our Backup Came; A Beautiful Sight!

Then, The Fun Began! They Tried To Bring Up More Numbers, But We Somehow Discouraged That As HAMMERS SQUADRON Claimed It's First Kill:

Then, With The Help Of The 5th Fleet, The Raven Began To Tear Up Their Assets,One By One:

On The Ground, The Raven Marines Began To Send Back What The Cylons Brought, Marked 'Return To Sender'; They Even Aquired Some Possible Valuable Intel On The Cylons; That Info Is Presently Under Study,And Therefore Classified.

  This Is How A United Fleet Does It's Job: Backing Up It's Brothers And Sisters To Repel Whatever Wants To Give The Human Race A Hard Time.

   For As Long As We Have The Ships,And The Quality Personnel To Man Them, The Cylons Are Going To Have To rethink Their 'Plan' To Bring Extinction On those Who Created Them! So Say we All!

Outpost 281 Rescue Mission 8-16-2014

This is the latest mission performed by the Battlestar Raven and its crew. Brigadier General Bill Mills and his XO Colonel Jake Yurisich of Rampart Station assisted the Raven with their fire power and forces. The mission is simple, save a distant Colonial Defense Forces Outpost.

Mission Details from Col Leonidas Raven CAG:

OK Folks, Here's Basically How It Will Go:
The Raven Has Orders To Proceed To The Outpost 281 To Back Up The Colonial Forces There; They've Been Under Siege By Cylon Forces, Who Keep Just Out Of range. In the Meantime, The Cylons have been Conducting Probing and Harassment Attacks on the Outpost.
  As We Are 'En route', About Early Saturday, The Outpost Will Send Out A Distress Signal To The Fleet, Reporting The Cylons Are Engaging In a Heavy Attack; They Have Shut Down Half Of The planetary defenses, And, Have Even Deployed Ground Troops; The Raven Will Immediately Jump to their location and Launch all Vipers, And Send Two Platoons Of Raven Marines To Back Up The Marines there. This will certainly be a fierce Battle; I know All Stations will be ready. If Anybody Has Any Ideas, Questions, Or Concerns, Get In Touch With Me ASAP.

Our second Hero of the night (and unfortunately a posthumous one) goes to a consummate character actor....appearing in diverse roles in as many diverse features: Young Frankentein, Twin Peaks, Babylon 5 & the voice of Emperor Palpatine in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

My good buddy Noel Guglielmi aka Noel G. who you have seen in everything from Bruce Almighty to The Walking Dead & who just finished filming his scenes as he reprises his original role in Fast and the Furious 7!

And of course someone who I never tire of saying good things about...and celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Land of the Lost...the wonderful Kathy Coleman!

Of course we are also bringing you the HERO awards tonight, so let me just get along with that...we are presenting these to a wonderful actor and actress tonight.

You have seen this man in shows as varied as Charmed & 24...and a whole lot more...including his role as Gara Singh in Caprica...Peter Wingfield!

For roles in productions as diverse as Sons of Anarchy all the way to The Hunger Games and again, many other features & of course for her pivotal role as Amanda Graystone on the aforementioned Caprica....Paula Malcomson!

Good news: Aaron Douglas, the Chief, is in "Falling Skies" S4/Ep05. Bad news: he seems to be a psychopathic traitor to the humans.

Ok everyone, time for a trivia challenge for all you die hard fans!

(And the winners get prizes!).

There is a band in Canada (based in Vancouver) known collectively as Big John Bates...of course in this case named after the band leader...the aforementioned Mr. Bates!

During the run of the show, the props master (a big fan of the band created a prop that included them) ...in this case a magazine (cover)...two sides (and yes I'm going to include those images)...that Kara Thrace was reading in one of the scenes.

So here is the challenge...you have to find the scene where Kara aka Starbuck is holding that magazine!

It only appears in one short scene throughout the entire series (gives you an excellent reason to go back an re-watch everything)...

Ok, so you got the idea...so here are the rules of the game...once found, send an email to shawn@galacitcon.org naming the episode (if you can do a screen grab with that, all that better)...the three best times win.

With a television career spanning such diverse shows as Miami Vice, 7th Heaven & more recently as Harry Morgan on Showtimes Dexter, this actor has also appeared in a wide range of movies as well...The Warriors, 48 Hrs, Blade: Trinity, 2 Fast 2 Furious and X-Men First Class are just a few of those.

For his role as Meier in the Re-Imagined series two parter "Home", the Hero goes to James Remar!
