 Gunstar Trireme Was one of Many Attractions At the 10th Annual Librari-Con at the Cumberland County Library and Information Center.

I Spoke with Several People In Attendance,And Got some good Feedback About the Display:

The Most Used Phrase was "I remember the Old Series Way Back then"; Well, as I Told them,We are Loyal to the Old, but have Embraced the New.

I also Told them About the Fact that the BFC was One of the Oldest and Largest Fan Orgs. in the World,That it was Free To Join,and, we are Fans Who do this in The Name of Fun and Fandom.

In addition, I Conducted A Panel Discussion About the History of BSG, and The Varying Differences Between the Two;And that We in the BFC Fleet are Adding our Own Stories to this Saga Of A Star World.

Not Sure if we will get Any New Members out of this Effort,But Hey, You Never Know! I'm Sure I Did Pique some Interest Among the Animae/Comic Book/Superhero Crowd;I call this A good Warm Up for Fayetteville Comic-Con,Coming Oct. 15/16;See You There,So say we All!

Congratulations to all the new Ensign Pilots (salutes). It is tradition for newly commissioned officers attaining flight status to pay a cubit to the enlisted person rendering a first salute to them. Payments will be received in Joe's Bar, preferably before you get shot up by the Toasters. Also congratulations those attaining "Top Gun" status. And a special OORAH to the Pointy Nosed Viper Jocks and Rabid Raptor Drivers of the Raven Battle Group, you rock.  - Paul "Iceworm" Oakley, 1ST SERGEANT, NCOIC, Battlestar Raven Marine Detachment.

Tonight we were were able to host our summer op which was created by one of our Raptor Pilots from the Seekers Squardon Wedge. The title of this op was "Start" This was an action packed op that was very well thought out and a good time was had by all.

This Op was the first from the iniative that the CAG has put in place for the invitation for our members to create our ops.

So this is inspired by John David "Buzzsaw" Feagin, I'm simply adding a Raptor one of it's own special blend because Raptor, that's why. It may not be as good but hey, Raptors didn't have one :P

The Raptor Pilot's Creed:

This is my Raptor.

The Houston Cylons have set up a cultural display on Aisle 26 of the ComicPalooza Brown Convention Center in an attempt to win the 'hearts and minds" of the public, including members from the UK Fan & Costuming Club. The Raven Chapter will counter with the premier of the museum class model of the "Beast", the Mercury class Battlestar Raven, Flagship Vessel and Chapter of the Battlestar Galactica Fan Club.

Monday, May 2 is Keith "Leonidas" Ranson's Birthday. The name synonymous with Toaster recycling. The man that invented Saturday night BFC chat-room Fleet Missions. Trireme Actual is top notch pilot and leader and former CAG, and earned his command at the first Commissioned Gunstar Escort in the Battlestar Raven Battle Group.  Always ready to administer encouragement or a swift kick to motivate and get things done. Now if we could just get him to come out of his shy shell and open up a little it would be great.

The cake was delivered by Marines, but don't know if it came from his pilots or the Cylons. Either way, I'd have it checked by an EOD Tech.

So here's to one of the few pointy-nosed Viper jocks I'd follow on a walk-in-the-woods patrol. OOHRAH!!! SO SAY WE ALL!
