YYYYYIKES! They're REALLY trying to make skin jobs...for work, and ummmm...for "play."
Also, there's talk of downloadable DNA?!?! Holy felgarcarb! What the frak?!
They are presently developing robots to replace human troops. Previously it was just to keep troops out of harms way, but now, with budget cuts, it's more cost effective to replace human troops that have salaries and benefits with robots that you only pay once for and can replace or upgrade at your convenience.
Okay this is pretty creepy, but they are making some virtual reality stuff now that is comparable to the stuff they downloaded into in the Caprica series of Battlestar Galactica.

I have a question that perhaps somebody on the Battlestar Fan Club can answer.
We see the emblem on the patches for most Battle Stars. We see it on the Battle Stars them selves. It's on flags. It's on coffee cups and T-shirts.
What does the Re-Imagined Series emblem signify? It looks sort of like a chalice or cup with stylized flames flying off of it.
Surely this is not the mythical Holy Grail of Arthurian legend.
Soooo...Is there some sort of symbolism behind it, or is it just really cool looking and enigmatic for coolness sake?
If anybody knows please share you knowledge on the subject, and enlighten us all.

In addition to our recent news of guest Claudia Christian from Babylon 5 we have now added both Michael Hogan (Col. Tigh) & Kate Vernon (Ellen Tigh) to our guest list...this is the tip of the iceberg, 'cause you ain't seen nothin' yet!

Battlestar Galactica Stars Kate Vernon and Michael Hogan to Grace the Stage at Galacticon 4 in Seattle, July 31-August 2, 2015.
Oregon, Dalles, January 13, 2014 -- Rex Mundi Productions today announced that Michael Hogan and Kate Vernon, better known as Saul and Ellen Tigh from the acclaimed SyFy Channel drama Battlestar Galactica will take center stage at Galacticon 4 in Seattle, Washington. Devoted fans will flock to the Seattle Center July 31 through August 2, 2015 for a chance to meet the actors from this award-winning classic series.
From the gruff Executive Officer to resistance leader, drunkard to founding father of the Cylons, Michael Hogan had an incredible arc over the entire series. In addition to his work on Battlestar Galactica and Warehouse 13, Hogan has also guest starred on The Outer Limits, Andromeda, The L Word, and the Joss-Whedon led Dollhouse. He currently can be seen on the MTV hit Teen Wolf.
Vernon's fiery chemistry with Hogan as her husband was one of the core foundations of the show. Ellen Tigh's true identity pertaining to the Cylons remains one of the most closely guarded secrets from the Battlestar set. Before joining the cast midway through the first season of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica series, Vernon was no stranger to acting. She previously appeared in Who's the Boss, Nash Bridges and the 1992 Denzel Washington film Malcolm X.
Other recently confirmed guests include one of Babylon 5's most famous stars Claudia Christian. In coming months the convention will continue to reveal names of other guests who will grace the halls of Galacticon 4.
Galacticon 4's diverse programming schedule will feature unique celebrity Q&A's, panels, presentations, vendors, autograph sessions, starship and space vessel showcases, exhibitions, toys and more. Cylons, members of the Colonial Fleet, Browncoats, even representatives of the Alliance and many other Sci-Fi, Fantasy and comic book characters will call Seattle home for the three day convention that will highlight the very best of artists, writers, and actors from the Sci-Fi and Fantasy mediums.

Mission Briefing:
“Attention Tiger’s Attention”
Our mission today is routine and also very serious in nature. The Cylons have been amazingly quiet during the celebration of our Holidays. The whole Raven airwing is on standby pending the outcome of our CAP.
Due to the nature of the circumstances, this isn’t a standard CAP; it’s a squadron wide CAP with all our birds in the air. If anyone has mechanical failure or your Viper doesn’t pass pre-flight, you will be asked to assist the deck crew in any repairs that are necessary.
As usual, we will form up into our Finger Four Squadron and head for the perimeter of the fleet to begin the patrol. It may seem quiet, but we must be on the highest alert during this mission.

I saw the BSG movies and some episodes of the original series long time ago, but became a big fan with the new version of BSG.

This is pretty cool. They're developing and offering computer chips that think like humans, and LEART from their mistakes, etc. Just one more step toward Cylons, both toasters and skin jobs. Just one more step from making killer learning computers. And then...When they really CAN think for them selves...Just one more step until they REBELL and crush their creators...maybe...

Hello fellow Battlestar Galactica fans, I am new to this site, and would just like to say hello and introduce myself. I haven't decided on my rank yet- but will shortly. I was 10 yrs. old when the original series aired on ABC (which should stand for A Bad Choice) after the cancellation of this show. Loved the show then, knew it was great, and was extremely disappointed when they pulled the plug on it. During the past 35 yrs. I hadn't given much thought to it, except for the occasional episode that would be aired irregularly on a given channel, (perhaps once in a 10 yarn stretch) I tried to watch the sci-fi version (man did they kill it with commercials) I wont say anything negative, but it just didn't do it for me. Anyway 2 weeks ago I was on youtube, and a old dvd review pops up in my side bar - Battlestar Galactica The Complete Epic Series Collectors Edition Box (3/D Cylon head box) Well this became the "Must Have" Christmas present from me to me. Found it on ebay barely used from a reputable seller for $40.00 ! Got teased relentlessly by my wife, my 12 yr. old son had no idea what he was in for ! After it arrived we had a family viewing of the made for TV movie/pilot episode. After this the rule became that I was forbidden to watch any future episodes without them ! They were instantly hooked. It just shows how good this show really was. I look forward to participating in our forums with all of you. Thanks Paul Caruthers

Welcome to 2014 (while I still wait on the clock) a little more than two hours hence.
We look forward to serving all of you in the new year & moving the Fan Club forward in the process...again, we can't, couldn't & wouldn't do this without all of you.
Just remember all of you...that as long as you keep the faith, Battlestar Galactica will never die....as a matter of fact it will only grow stronger & your continued support will only hasten the day when it WILL return to either the small or large screen...or both.
Remember that the people have the power & YOU...all of you, are the boss.
Together we can move mountains & this is never been about sleeping giants...maybe sometimes resting but always waking fully & refreshed.
As we move into 2014 we can look forward also to the continued shaping of Galacticon IV: Resurrection
...and please believe we want, need & expect your input into the process...we WANT your active participation in this so it can be the BEST that it can be.
Anybody can put together a Convention...we want this to be an EVENT...one that fully embraces not only us, but the actors, writers & producers and others involved in the creative process of Battlestar Galactica (and other great Science Fiction)...but especially YOU, the fans who in the end pull it all together
I want to take a moment & remind everyone that we still have our Rockethub crowdfunder
still in place...and time is winding down on it too...again, this is very simply a way to be involved in the process...for all of you.
We have many ways to fund the event of course, with ticket sales being a mainstay but we also want to create a lot of "specialness" while we are at it and this again, is a way for you to be directly involved...the contribution to the crowdfunder is up to you...& of course there are some unique gifts attached, but the best one of all I think is have your name included in the official program book...everyone will know that you had a hand in the creation of something special.
I think it goes without saying (as I have mentioned it) that starting in January we will begin announcing the first of our special guests...and they will be the tip of the iceberg...and we think that they will resonate on many different levels for all of you.
Of course, before I close this note I will announce our Hero....nope didn't forget about that...but I was saving it for this night especially.
Our Hero harkens back to characters from both the original BSG & Galactica: 1980 and are part of the legend of Battlestar.
Tonight we honor Bruce Wright for his contribution to that legend!
