The question of the week is.... Who is your Favorite BSG Character and why? Was this character the one who made you come back to watch week after week? Was there something about them that drew you in. I want to hear your thoughts!
My Favorite has always been Kara "Starbuck" Thrace. When I heard they were rebooting the series and that there would be a strong female lead in the role of Starbuck there was a lot of noise being made. I knew right away that I would like Starbuck. I loved that Starbuck was one who challenged authority (Col. TY) but you also were able to see so many different sides of her in that first season alone. Not to mention she could fly a viper like no one else.
So Who is your Favorite and Why?

My favorite character, and one of the strong female role models, is Colonial Marine SFC Hadrian, Master at Arms of the re-imagined Galactica. She is mentioned in "Water" and "Valley of Darkness", and is a key part of "Act of Contrition" and "Litmus", where she is tasked as Lead Investigator and Prosecutor in emotionally charged story lines. Her devotion to duty and bravery are never questioned, but these lead her to problems in political situations. These positions would seem to more logically go to Officers, who were perhaps too astute to accept them, but she performs all her duties without hesitation. More importantly Hadrian accepts the resulting damage to her career without complaint. She also apparently performs duties without the use of Ambrosia, stems and the other dramatic distractions that seem to be common on the Pilot decks. And all her dealings with the Toasters are up close and personal, eye to red eye. Her character is my kind of Troop and my kind of Leader.
It depends on Which Series; for TOS, It's always been a tie Between Adama,Apollo,Starbuck and Cain,Because they are the Fighters.
In the RDM Series, it's narrowed down to Starbuck and Adama.
Great theme Freya!
My favorite character is actually a duo. It's is W Adama and Tigh and their relationship with each other and the ship/duties. The writers did such a great job of making them both dependant on one another in some circumstances and very opposite in others. Of course then it was up to the actors to bring those words and ideas to us, and they did a wonderful job with it. There are several "favorite" parts of episodes with the two of them but some of my most memorable are the "blood test" portion of the season one episode "Tigh me Up, Tigh me Down" It's a classic comedic moment when they all realize who has been ordering Baltar to re-prioritize the first blood test. Both EJO and Michael play that scene wonderfully!! The other is of course the cylon reveal from Tigh and their drinking in Adama's quarters, "Great-Grandpa was a belt sander" has to be my most favorite line in the show.
Let's hear some more!
