Thank you Reamer. That's very thoughtful and funny! I've got a puppy dagget named Spuds McKenzie that I'd like to award you. He's well housebroken a great companion and a great guard dagget! The name plates are much appreciated!
That is very thoughtful of you and they're cool too! Lt's great for me...No pride before the great fall going on here...UNLESS you'd like to make me Commander Admiral Commodore, etc. ;o)
Thanks for the comment and the welcome again. The forum I role play on is called http://bsgcolonialmarinehq.proboards.com I am the Rear Fleet Admiral and what caught my eye here is that I am the Commander of The Atlantia BSG-53. Thanks for the links good stuff, I always loved Sci-fi but never got a costume or been to any con. I would love to go someday, seems fun. I am also a big Stargate fan as well, well I am try to scope out the site kinda confusing and easy to get lost but I'll get there.
As for the roleplay if you just bare with me I will figure it out. I mean a fanclub is a new twist for me, but I am old school fan.
Ah thanks you for having me here, I just stumbled on this site from google search. I was download some Battlestar images to mess around with. I have watch most of the original when I was a kid. When they remade the show I jumped right in starting on the Old Sci-fi game they made for the show join the fight. Then I got into a forum style Rpg, starting from the bottom as a Clyon sleeper working up to the Leader. I bounced around back to the Colonial's, working back up through the ranks. The site however died slowly died over the years, another site opened up with some old friends. I joined as a Colonial working from the bottum up again and now I am the Fleet Rear Admiral but acting Fleet Admiral. However the site has slowed down to only a few of us still going strong. I haven't been to any con's or anything I am just a fan. I am looking forward on seeing how you guy's run thing's.
I prefer the old school cylons as they were not CGI I'm sure if you viewed any of the photos from facebook I appeared in quite a few as I was one of the most popular Cylons at G3. Of corse my wife Cyndi was my handler and a warrior there as well. All to gether I say 1200 photo opps were taken of myself. Of coarse I am member of Blackstar as well as By Your Command and Colonial Cylon Allienace HoustonTx, sector 20 . And other wise know as Cyvader.
Given my 6;3 hieght of coarse made the perfect Darth Vader next to my Cylon.
Hi Reamer! Thanks for the welcome. I only started watching the reimagined BSG about 4 months ago on Netflix, and I'm so hooked I've watched BSG and Caprica twice through now! Couldn't believe how lucky I was Galacticon 3 was in my backyard last month. I'm very happy to be here. And, I would love to join the Flying Tigers and Battlestar Raven. I've downloaded the training manual and started reading it. Please let me know what else I should do to become a nugget with the Flying Tigers. Thanks again for the warm welcome!
Howdy, yeah I just joined, got recruited at Galacticon a few weeks ago. I only found out about the fan club a few months ago otherwise I probably would have joined earlier. Is it true that the fanclub is based out of Texas or is that just Battlestar Raven? I'm a Texas local so that would be awesome if true! I've not decided what specialty in the fleet to join as yet though. Which ones are open?
Okay here's one modeler. He's with Bambam models if you've heard of them. He has so many pics you won't likely find his work until you go through lots of them, but he does great work.
Thank you. Yes, I noticed the main error yesterday after greeting some new recruits, welcoming them to Galacticon the day after it was over. As one of my role models would say, "D'oh!" I sent secondary messages though. The main reason I was sending out the info on the uniforms was so folks could suit up if they wanted and do so as affordably or as expensively as their pocket books and tastes allowed. So far as greeting goes, I just want everybody to feel welcome to the club initially and have a general idea of what they can do on the site...How to join battlestars or squadrons, or what forums are generally where, and to encourage participation, letting them know it's okay and they need not be shy just because they're new. I used to do a little recruiting just because the Atlantia needed to get enough people to become a battlestar, and then I added all of the practical and tactical info I could find to the engineering section. Anyway, I'm not much into role playing and the like, but wanted to help them get started. I'll probably be doing lots less now that Galacticon 3 is over, unless there's a new event that comes up.
OH, about the modeling. I had some battlestar designs I wanted to model on my own. Maybe I'll try some time if I can justify the cost and time. BUT...Here's what'll be of the utmost importance to YOU! Keith Ranson from the Raven and Sparton Squadron is really into it. Y'all need to talk. He also pointed me toward some other guys on Face Book that are REALLY into modeling...I mean they make some stuff that looks like actual historical photos. It's amazing. THEY are the ones you will REALLY want to get to know. In a moment I'll try to get their Face Book addresses for you to check them out and friend them if you like.
Take care and God bless! So say we all...me, my self, and I...and sometimes event he voices in my head...They're in my frakkin' head! Okay just kidding. Take care!
Thank you so much. I'm happy to return on this site. I was here before, some times ago and I'm back now. Please look to my pictures, made some times ago with some of my BSG ship. These stayed here charged, although I left for a while :-)
