  • Still tryin to get this project underway but it mite have to wait until the semester gets goin so gettin the college kids to have access to the equipment or i mite hae to bite the bullet n invest in a digital camera thats better quality than my fone
  • Oh, also...If there were to be a "day in the life of" show, it could be from the helmet camera or something like that too. That way you really would get into the experience. I think of the second movie of Aliens...You see the other Marines looking into the camera and yelling "The Sergeant's down!" It would also help better capture the confusion and fog of war. Just an idea.

  • Yep! They did try to show the plight of the un-named masses as well...When they tried to allow those with lower quality jobs a chance. The knuckle draggers weren't respected, as is the case in real life, and didn't have much opportunity to get better jobs. It's that way in real life...The ground crew and maintenance folks don't get noticed or called unless there is some sort of a problem. One of many thankless jobs. I remember also the sad but realistic situation of the boy who idealistically tried to help out in the tilium ore mining ship and lost both of his hands in a work accident. As for Colonial Marines, there could be lots of possibilities. Lots of action, and the heart wrenching confusion of the final rebellion where they were often fighting each other.
  • I thought about this a few times while watching the show, too. I would have liked to have seen a human story about at least one of them. Maybe like "a day in the life of" type episode.
