If you are interested, Clash Of Civilizations is a good e-book for Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek. It does have adult content though, so not for the kiddies. Good reading! So say we all! :o)  http://www.clashofcivilizations.co/

Thanks for all the responses, and info about the uniforms.  Just a quick one, though.  Are you for real, Frank?  I don't e-mail folks out of the blue.  I didn't win the Nigerian lottery, did I?  Please address me on this forum, if it's something you need to tell me.  I don't give out my personal e-mail addresses to just anyone unless I make friends on here, and they have a need for my personal addy.  I'm a huge LEGO fanatic, and I'm busy working on building a minifig scale Viper.  I'll post pics when I'm done.  And sorry, if I haven't been too active in the past month.  I'm doing a lot of stuff prepping lesson plans for my teaching interviews.  Take care, everyone.

PS...I forgot to mention the plot twist ending...The President of the Federation really is corrupt as are all politicians over time...He and his staff are infatuated with the Cylon Centurions, all makes and models, as well as with the nano/neural implants of the Borg, and begin to come up with plans to use them on Earth and throughout the Federation.  Cylon Centurions and Raiders patrol the streets and skies keeping the homeland safe, and Borg implants become highly encouraged by the government...You're with us or you're against us...No implant...no access to food replicators or any other services, it's for your safety. The excuse is that shape shifters from the old Dominion are trying to infiltrate and take over. ID must be verified etc. Simultaneously, the Colonials and those fleeing Federation tyranny populate the planets left scraped clean by the Borg as well as those they had attacked in the 12 Colonies, and those of the Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians, and Feringi.  All of this has happened before...and will happen again...and again...and again...and again...and again... and again... and again... and again...

Hey, Jason, Gambit, etc.! Lots of great points there. Yep, the original series was sort of a spin off from the Star Wars phenomenon.  I suppose die hard fans of Star Wars resented something new that wasn't just Star Wars. Also as Richard Hatch says the networks hated Sci-Fi.  I was so disappointed when I was young that the series was discontinued.  For DECADES I always looked back and thought that it was the COOLEST of ALL of the Sci-Fi stuff ever made, AND they did so brilliantly on a real shoe string budget! As far as Star Trek goes, I liked all of the movies and then on TV the Next Generation AKA the Yuppie Generation, as well as Deep Space 9.  I really didn't get to see the other spin offs.  At first when they came out with the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, I was so excited but my schedule wouldn't allow me to see it. I was sooooooooo disappointed.  Thankfully I was later able to get DVD's.  Wow! Seeing Starbuck and Boomer as hot chicks...BRAIN FART!!!!!  I got used to it though, and really got hooked into the new version as much as with the original.  Recently, JUST FOR FUN, I wrote a mini-novel for my own personal satisfaction, reconciling the versions of Battlestar Galactica and their descendants meeting with people from Earth...Star Trek that is...First secretly during Captain Kirk's Wrath of Khan deal, and prepping during The Next Generation.  They see the writing on the wall and act to save humanity...FTL asteroid attacks combined with seismic attacks on the planets, super volcanoes, and main tectonic plates of the Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians, and Feringi.  Also some sucker plays baiting the Klingons and Romulans to fight each other along the Neutral Zone and deplete their fleets before the attacks on their planets.  Same goes for the Cylons in the 12 Colonies and the Cylon home worlds.   Next a time of rest while Star Fleet and Colonial Defense Forces get to know each other...Some humor as they get in bar fights, and CDF guys check the chicks in Star Fleet tights. Finally the Borg War begins.  First sucker plays again pitting the Borg against the Wraiths, who feed and assimilate on each other.  Finally the main attack on the Borg...Their Achilles heel...Dimensional Transporters from TNG's "High Ground" episode.  DT in nukes, seismic bombs, etc.  HUGE battle climax where the Borg and assimilated remnants of the Cylons try for a counter attack. Much carnage but the Borg flee into Gama Quadrant and clobber the Dominion and then try for Earth via DS 9's worm hole, but are met by Colonials and Star Fleet and allies. The last Borg cube is destroyed between Mars and Earth.  If you do any writing, I welcome you to borrow, steel, twist, and turn all of the above.  Take care and God bless, my friend. So say we all! (Me, my self, and I and sometimes the voices in my head!) (Just kidding) :o) John David Feagin

Jason;

IF you are interested...The following are some good sources that I have come across for uniforms and ensembles for both versions of Battlestar Galactica, and even some props and Centurion outfits.  It’s much more fun to suit-up at conventions and pose with the stars as well as for your own vanity and profile pics.  You and some friends could also suit-up and make some movies for sharing with the club and on You Tube.

If you or any you know are interested in Battlestar Galactica uniforms from the re-imagined series, here are several to pick from. I got a flight suit and Commander’s blues from these folks a few years ago. Not bad for the price. You can modify at will.

Officer’s Uniform:

If you or any you know are interested in the Original Series uniforms these folks have some good and affordable uniforms and props:

If you or any you know are interested in higher end quality uniforms from both TOS and Re-Imagined Battlestar Galactica, these folks have lots of really good stuff:

Hello Jason, and WELCOME to the Battlestar Fan Club!  It's a great club, and we all hope you really enjoy it.  It's the most fun if everybody participates, so please post and boast on the forums and discussions, (and meet new friends who share a common interest) as well as check out all of the groups you can participate in. (Just look up at the top bar and pick Groups.  There are battlestars eager for you to sign up, as well as squadrons, you name it, even Pyramid and Cylon stuff!  Lots of the groups are into discussing certain topics, while others are into role playing, so just check it out and find what interests you the most.  Feel free also to start your OWN groups, topics, blogs, discussions, etc.  The more who participate the more fun it is for all.

Okay, again WELCOME to the Battlestar Fan Club. SO SAY WE ALL!!!!
