The ground crew and headquarters staff were likewise mostly recruited from the U.S. military, along with some civilians.

On Behalf of the Entire RAVEN AIR WING Dutchman,Let Me express Profound Condolences for your loss; losing A Parent is Not easy, and I've been there Twice; In the Meantime,Know that your Father is no longer in Pain,And in A Better place,So Say we All!
Leonidas,CAG
Deep condolences Dutchman, I'm so sorry for your loss. You're in my thoughts.
Our hearts & prayers of the James household go out to you, Dutchman. May our Heavenly Father watch over you & yours & bring you comfort in this difficult time.
Separately, I'm looking forward to the 28th. It's been far too long since I climbed in the cockpit & scrapped some toasters with my brothers & sisters. I miss you all.
Good Morning Everyone,
It is with sadness that I report to you the passing of my 1st recruits Father yesterday morning. Ens Jerry "Dutchman" Orfano's 86 year old Father died in the hospital where he was being treated for stroke and heart related problems for the last couple weeks.
Ens Dutchman's parents emigrated to the US from Italy and settled in Brooklyn,NY many years ago.
I never had the pleasure to meet him, but I know he served his country in the US Marines during the Korean War and he went on to raise a family in Brooklyn. He will be missed by family and friends.
The Flags will be at half mast on the hanger deck where our Squadrons Vipers are stored and serviced. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
SO SAY WE ALL!!!!!
"Attention Tigers Attention"
After a bit of planning our next mission is set to go on the 28th of February. Col Leonidas made a few tweaks to the plan and this is what we have. I hope to see many of you on the 28th in the Forum Chat area at 10:PM EST.
Our next Mission will be Known as OP: Green Haze.
This is Reamer's plan; I Accept no Credit for it; There is A System about 75 km past the Red line; Heavily Clouded in EM Radiation, one of the outer Planets was Rich in Tylium; the Cylons mined it At great Risk; Near the end of the War, the Colonial Fleet Mounted An Op to Capture this Fuel Source for the Colonies; Even though Hazardous, Fleet Command Felt it Worth the Risk with A possible Armistice looming; They sent Several Ships, Backed By Battlestars to the System; Let's just say, It Didn't go Well; The Cylons had A MASSIVE Task Force Waiting, And, after A Serious Firefight, We Were forced To Withdraw, Leaving Behind A 'Battlestar Graveyard'; The Armistice took Effect Shortly Thereafter.
Years Later, A Huge Rogue Asteroid Slammed into Planet EM, That,Along with a Gravitational Shift, Pushed the Planet Closer to the Red line, and Even took Some of the 'Graveyard' with it; The Cylons are Slowly Giving the Planet up,Except for one Tylium Mine, still Operational.
The Raven's Orders are to Knock that Mine out; Even though EM Radiation Largely Affects the Sillica Pathways of Humanoid Cylons, It can Be long-term Slow and Lethal to Humans(Which is Why the Anchorage at Ragnar is Double Shielded); In addition,Two of the Derelict Battlestars May have Equipment in still usable Condition(after Decontamination, that is); We will Send MARDET Teams,One led by Iceworm, the Other by Blindsword, To Recover what they can; In the Meantime, Three other Battlestars will Act as A Diversionary force,Keeping the Cylons Occupied; When it's time for us to go, The Raven will Send A Nuke to the Mine, and Jump.
Polish up your missiles and give your rides the once over so we're all ready to launch on the 28th!!!
SO SAY WE ALL! ! ! ! !
