Hi John, Latham is an extremely old name.  We traced it back in the UK to 1010, pre Norman Invasion.  There is a village of Latham just above Liverpool.  Unusually in the English Civil war it was defended by a lady.  Also, took the royalist side...oops...therefore not a baronet of lord now!!!

Hi, John, thanks for the warm welcome. I'm taking my time cruising round the website. I'm kinda new so I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction. Can you recommend a good website (that ships to the UK) where I can get Galatica insignia, especially Admirals and Commanders insignia?

Thanks for the welcome and the links to the re-imagined uniforms. I find it more likely that I'll obtain a uniform from the classic series first, but I'm hoping to get gradually into cosplay a bit.

I'm hoping to participate on the BFC, still trying to figure my way around at the moment (and studying the Viper Training manual).

I had a fox terrier dagget once that kind of looked like Spuds McKenzie. I set up a 100' run for him that ran from one end of my yard to the front and the mail box was attached to the post in my front yard. I had stops on the cable so he couldn't run into the post's at each end and get himself all tangled up.

Every day when the post man delivered the mail, he would run full tilt toward the front yard. He got to the stop on the cable and he would go flying in the air and swing himself around. I'm surprised that he didn't break his neck. The foolish dog never learned that he couldn't make it to the mail box to attack the mail man, but he never gave up hope that one day he might make it! ! ! ! !LOL

Thanks for the welcome John. Have established contact with the Raven MARDET NCOIC for processing. Look forward to being a crew member. You're right, the law enforcement community at Galacticon took an interest in my uniform, and I understand and agree. Thankfully they stopped short of a body search.
