  The Raven Marines are working on a manual with an exam at the end to earn a certificate of completion, but its still a work in progress and its based on our current military practices.

  There are manuals for Colonial Defense Forces (CDF) Ops, Viper and Raptor training manuals, all with multiple choice exams that will earn you a certificate of completion. If you're interested, you could also earn your wings by completing either the Viper or Raptor exam.

  The exams are based on the re-imagined BSG series, but they are chock full of information any BSG fan would like. If you become a pilot you start at the rank of Ensign and work your way up. That's how I started almost four years ago. At this time, Marines are not eligible to become pilots.

  The Raven Marines may very well be what you're looking for as I mentioned. Their page isn't very active at times, but we perform mock missions here and Gunny Iceworm usually participates with us. Iceworm could be very helpful to you. He was an officer in the US Army at the rank of Captain and he brings his real life military experience into his position in the Raven Marines.   Welcome aboard the Battlestar Raven Rod, it's great to have you join our crew!!!

  I see that your favorite BSG character is Adama. I’m a fan of everything concerning Battlestar Galactica. Being a Viper Pilot, my favorite character is Starbuck from both the Original and Re-imagined BSG.  When it comes to Cylon skin jobs, I’m partial to the 6’s and the 8’s.

  I see that you’re interested in Ops. The Raven Marine’s are most likely what you’re looking to join. If you were interested in becoming a Viper pilot the Battlestar Raven has that covered as well

  At the present time Spartan, Perseus, Hammer, Minotaur and Blackstar squadrons are shorthanded and are looking for more pilots.

  The Battlestar Raven has become a Battle Group with the addition of the Gunstar Trireme. Gunstar Trireme is commanded by Col Leonidas and he is looking for crew members as well.   If flying a Viper isn’t your style, the Raven has many alternatives. You could join The Marines, Engineering, Security, Sick Bay and more. The choice is entirely up to you. Note: Pesently the site was moved to a new server and it’s under construction, but you can see the departments except for the Airwing.

  Hello, Rod, and WELCOME to the Battlestar Fan Club!  It's a great club, and we all hope you really enjoy it.  It's the most fun if everybody participates, so please post and boast on the forums and discussions, (and meet new friends who share a common interest) as well as check out all of the groups you can participate in. (Just look up at the top bar and pick Groups.)  There are battlestars eager for you to sign up, as well as squadrons, you name it, even Pyramid and Cylon stuff!  Lots of the groups are into discussing certain topics, while others are into role playing, so just check it out and find what interests you the most.  Feel free also to start your OWN groups, topics, blogs, discussions, etc.  The more who participate the more fun it is for all.
