If you are interested, Clash Of Civilizations is a good cross over e-book for Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek. It does have adult content though, so not for the kiddies. Good reading! So say we all! :o) http://www.clashofcivilizations.co/
I just wanted to quickly take my time to welcome you aboard Battlestar Galactica Fan Club. If you ever need anything along the line, please do not hesitate to let someone know and we will try our best to help you out. One of our priorities here at the club is to provide a great experience for all our members because they are the reasons why WE as a club exist. Also, if you are ever interested in joining a Battlestar Command, please do not hesitate to come and check us out at:
We welcome all BSG Fans of all the shows and even other Sci-fi fans to join our ship. We also welcome all your inputs and comments about the show. Just keep all comments in a professional manner and be mindful of others as all comments and inputs are seen by people of all ages all around the world.
Both the site link will provide you with more information about our chapter and other great information about what kind of battlestar the Raven is (technical and tactical). We also try on a daily basis, updating the chapter website with more new fresh information as we go along, so we can better keep our members informed. We are always looking for good people to come and join us. And if you decide to join the Raven, all you need to do is go to your profile, scroll all the way down to your profile question. Select the Raven as your Battlestar Command on the drop down menu and then head on to the group page and join it. I provided the link for you to the group page below. I welcome you to visit and join the Battlestar Raven, but there are other ships in the fleet as well. But whichever you choose, you will surely have a lot of fun. :-) I am also hoping you are able to join all of us Galacticon 3 Convention next year in Houston, Texas. This is going to be the mother of all Battlestar Galactica Convention. An event that will surely be remembered for a long, long time.
There are also a lot of good information on the ship especially in the Engineering Section. So don't hesitate to come and check it out.
If I can help you in any way please feel free to contact me, I am the Chief Engineer on the Atlantia and a avid collector of BSG Tech data, blue prints, ect.
The following are some good sources that I have come across for uniforms and ensembles for both versions of Battlestar Galactica, and even some props and Centurion outfits. It’s much more fun to suit-up at conventions and pose with the stars as well as for your own vanity and profile pics. You and some friends could also suit-up and make some movies for sharing with the club and on You Tube.
If you or any you know are interested in Battlestar Galactica uniforms from the re-imagined series, here are several to pick from. I got a flight suit and Commander’s blues from these folks a few years ago. Not bad for the price. You can modify at will.
If you or any you know are interested in higher end quality uniforms from both TOS and Re-Imagined Battlestar Galactica, these folks have lots of really good stuff:
Welcome to the Battlestar Fan Club, and Welcome to the fleet Brian! So say we ALL!
This is a great club to be in, and you can meet lots of people from all over with a common interest. It's always more fun if you actively participate as well. You can add your own blogs, discussions, video clips, photos etc. (Just keep it decent for public viewing, and please no personal attacks…We want it to be fun and pleasant for everybody!)
You can also join several Battlestars, squadrons, the Colonial Marines, and already existing discussion forums as well. The more people commenting on these sites, the more fun and interesting it becomes, AND you get to put in you own two cubits.
We also have Galacticon 3 coming up, which is absolutely the opportunity of a lifetime! Very rarely if ever will you find so many stars from both versions of Battlestar Galactica at once, and actually be able to meet and talk to them!
It's also lots of fun to suit up in your favorite uniform for pics or at conventions. There is still time for Galacticon 3. If you or anybody you know are interested I can give you a list of some good sources for uniforms, ensembles, and even props from both versions of Battlestar Galactica.
If you are interested in studying up on the ships, weapon systems, etc. from both versions of Battlestar Galactica, I can point you to information on the site for that as well…Everything practical and tactical.
Please scan through all of the site and find what interests you, and we invite you to participate as much as possible…It’s always much more interesting and fun to get as many views, opinions, and ideas as possible. The more the merrier.
At the top of the home page is a section called Groups. It has all of the groups and Battlestars. You can also click this link: http://battlestarfanclub.com/groups . Please give them all a good look and decide what interests you!
If there is any way I can help you settle in, or if you have any questions, I will do my best to help you, or refer you to others who can.
