***** Note - This convention has been reported in local media to have sponsor issues this year and may be cancelled at a later date *****The 15th Annual Starbase Indy Convention well be held November 26th through the 28th at the Marriott East Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana.The current guest list includes:Tim Russ, best known as Tuvok, a Vulcan who serves as the Starfleet Tactical/Security Officer in Star Trek: Voyager.Ethan Phillips, best known as the Talaxian Neelix, a member of an alien race indigenous to the Delta Quadrant in Star Trek: Voyager.Manu Intiraymi, best known as the Icheb, a former Borg, in Star Trek: Voyager.Deborah Downey is known in the original STAR TREK episode titled ‘The Way To Eden’, in which she sang to series’ regular Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy). That episode has become one of the more memorable Star Trek episodes (affectionately referred to as “The Hippie Episode”) with a cult following of its own. Deborah is featured with Mr. Spock as they play musical instruments in the famous ‘Space Hippie Jam Session’.A few other events include:• Dr. Vasavada, professor Emeritus of Physics from IUPUI with a presentation of the cosmos• Starbase Indy's very own Gregg Nowling and George Starkey are back with a TWO hour workshop on prop building.• Magic House Productions will present several panels on film making.• Panels on costume contruction and make-up with Michelle Mussoni, Alena Van Arendonk & Chris Brown.• Rob Pyatt will present his infamous Weird Science• Dr. Rob & Jeff Thompson (both will also be our MC's again this year) will present "Trailer Park," their clips and opinions of really bad movies.• Pam Easterday will conduct four children workshops on Tribble making, Wave Bottles and Mobiles, plus Saturday morning cartoons & cereal.
