I am from the city of Dallgrade on the planet of Picon. My family worked in the textile mills for generations and my father ran one of the more prominent factories. My family has always had a deep love of the Navy and I was no different. I grew up learning about the navy and watching the pilots at the Viper school. I expressed interest from a young age to attend the Colonial Fleet Academy. My father hated the idea. He wanted me to follow in his footsteps and take over the mill as I was their only child. I applied for the academy but was not accepted. I knew that I had to follow my heart so I ran away to Caprica and joined the Colonial Fleet.
Real life bio: I live in Hermitage, TN (right outside of Nashville) I have been here about 10 years. I am married with 3 dogs (no kids). My husband runs his own leather crafting business and we attend renaissance festivals and some cons to sell his products. We also do quite a bit of cosplay and we love attending scifi cons. I have always been a scifi fan since I was a young girl. When I watched BSG when it came on I knew there was something special there. I am a little sad that I did not find this group sooner but now that I am here I am very excited to be a part of the fleet.
Tonight we held the first op of the year. It was titled Fleet yard. Before the op we held a memorial to the late Richard Hatch (Apollo/Tom Zarak) This event included many of our new members and we all had a great time.
Here is the transcript for the memorial and the Fleetyard Op directly following.

The question of the week is.... Who is your Favorite BSG Character and why? Was this character the one who made you come back to watch week after week? Was there something about them that drew you in. I want to hear your thoughts!
My Favorite has always been Kara "Starbuck" Thrace. When I heard they were rebooting the series and that there would be a strong female lead in the role of Starbuck there was a lot of noise being made. I knew right away that I would like…Continue

Battlestar Galactica (original and re-imagined) has been called many things over the years. Amazing, cutting edge, controversial, ETC..
But I really do think it is special. What made you fall in love with this show? Was it the characters? The writing? The Music?
What made you come back each week and watch or if you didn't watch until it was over what made you binge watch the series?
