What started as a severe CPTSD therapy excersize, designing one little functional ship, evolved into an entire rebootable sub verse. I'm now trying to figure out how to let it out before somebody decides to "enlighten" the last remaining franchise.
I have followed space scify since Early Trek, UFO, Thunderbirds, Space 1999, etc. While Star Wars may have saved my life, BSG was always my first favorite. BSG does not need a resurrected reboot, but it does need a second life to continue all the good it brought to our messy world. Any guidance would be gratefully appreciated. Greetings All.

  • It's commendable that you've channeled your CPTSD therapy into something as creative and expansive as designing a rebootable subverse. This process echoes real-life examples where therapeutic creativity evolved into significant contributions to pop culture. For instance, George Lucas developed Star Wars partly as a response to his challenges, creating a universe that resonates with millions. Similarly, Ronald D. Moore reimagined *Battlestar Galactica* into a modern epic, addressing contemporary issues like politics and human rights.

To bring your creation to life, consider starting with a dedicated community of like-minded fans. Platforms like fan fiction forums, YouTube, or even crowdfunding sites can help you test your ideas and gather feedback. Look at how Star Trek Continues was successfully produced by fans, maintaining the original series' spirit while introducing new narratives.

Maintaining the essence of BSG without a reboot aligns with the idea that some stories don't need to be reimagined but rather expanded upon. Your subverse could breathe new life into the BSG universe, offering fresh perspectives while preserving the core themes that made it impactful. Engage with others who share your passion, and don’t hesitate to let your creativity shine—your work could be the next chapter in BSG's legacy.

This is just my humble opinion.
