If you are interested, Clash Of Civilizations is a good cross over e-book for Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek. It does have adult content though, so not for the kiddies. Good reading! So say we all! :o) http://www.clashofcivilizations.co/
Happy Birthday Murrell!!!!!!!!!! How are you doing? Are you going to attend G3? I'm not able to be there and it really hurts me to miss a once in a life time event as G3.
thanks! looks like a really great site.
Hi there Murrell . Favorite episode from the original series is a hard one to choose , as i watch them quite a while ago . But i have to say the Lost Warrior ( Is that the one with Red Eye , who is a malfunctioning cylon working for a gangster as muscle and appollo has to save the day). Lost Planets of the gods , when all the pilots get sick and they train the ladies to fly the vipers. War of the gods was good also with Count Ebily as the onipotent being.
In the new series Scar , The Passage , The Eye of Jupiter and anything with the blackbird or the lawyer in it.
Talk soon Andrew
Just realized that I never thanked you for welcoming me so...Thank You! I want to be as involved as possible, and feel honored to be in such great company as yourself and all the BSG fans here.

Hi Murrell,
Thanks for the kind words.
My Mk II probably took about forty hours on and off to build. It is a Moebius 1/32 kit. I also added the photo etch set and LED strips from Paragraphix. The light strips come in various lengths that can be cut into three light segments. When they are cut into short segments all you have to do is solder the wires to it and they're ready to go. A twelve LED strip costs only $5 dollars and you can use from 3 to 12 volts to light them depending on how bright you want them to be.
Many of the Viper builds I have seen are either with the landing gear retracted mounted on a lamp pipe with the battery and switch mounted in the base. Or the hanger deck versions have wires attached to it to power the lights. Even the $1500.00 Mk II made by QMX has wires that look like the Mk II is being fueled up to power it's engines and lights.
As I was building my Viper I thought about trying to make a removable battery compartment, but there really isn't enough room. Plus I wanted to make a hanger deck diorama, and didn't want any visible wiring. That's how I came up with the idea of the wires going through the landing gear with the brass strips as the electrical contacts instead of a switch to turn the lights on.
I purchased the photo etch and lights directly form Paragraphix and save a lot of money; and the shipping charge was much less than anyone else as well. Check out their web site at www.paragraphix.biz/default.asp , they have photo etch for many Si Fy model kit. I live about 6 or 7 miles away from them but they don't have a store front. You have to order on line, but it's cheaper than buying from a hobby shop or someone on evil bay.
I'll post some more pics of the innards of my Mk II build so check back later.
Roger.
i would lke to get more envolved, how can i
Thanks!
Thanks for the welcome. I love the old, and the new seris. I do think that the Living Legend is by far the best episode of the original series.
