Basically, It depends on the size and mission of the vessel in question; A full fledged battlestar has A Full airwing of vipers and raptors; Is is more heavily armed with more crew.
A gunstar is basically An escort, smaller in size, but just as well armed; The big difference is we don't have vipers; The raven battle group is organized along the lines of A real world carrier battle group; There's the flagship, the escorts, and the support vessels.
Often when we engage the cylons,Our combined firepower often makes the difference, depending on what they throw at us;When missions are planned for the chat room,we take what intel we have, and decide what assets to use, when and where, pretty much like 'Risk',or chess.
Hoping that explains what we do...the bottom line is having fun,of course, while trashing toasters!
I'm glad you joined us,Even though your profile avatar still says Titan; If you care to officially join the trireme,You have to request A transfer per fleet SOP.
And, if you have any questions thoughts or ideas, feel free to bring them to me!
Hello Jay, welcome to the Club. Have you joined or considered joining a ship or other chapters of the Battlestar Fan Club? You're on the home web site page, you can go below to the page for The Battlestar Raven, the largest Chapter in the international Club, and join a Chapter or ship. You can get a feel for what we do on the site, and hyper-link back to the home Club site. Each ship has on-line participation as Viper Pilots, Marines. Command Staff, Operations, Med, and many more. If you have costumes, we go to Cons nation-wide as a group. Take a look and lmk if you have any questions. Regards, Paul "Iceworm" Oakley, Marine Detachment NCOIC, Battlestar Raven.
If you are interested, Clash Of Civilizations is a good cross over e-book for Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek. It does have adult content though, so not for the kiddies. Good reading! So say we all! :o) http://www.clashofcivilizations.co/
Hello, Jay, and WELCOME to the Battlestar Fan Club! It's a great club, and we all hope you really enjoy it. It's the most fun if everybody participates, so please post and boast on the forums and discussions, (and meet new friends who share a common interest) as well as check out all of the groups you can participate in. (Just look up at the top bar and pick Groups.) There are battlestars eager for you to sign up, as well as squadrons, you name it, even Pyramid and Cylon stuff! Lots of the groups are into discussing certain topics, while others are into role playing, so just check it out and find what interests you the most. Feel free also to start your OWN groups, topics, blogs, discussions, etc. The more who participate the more fun it is for all.
Okay, again WELCOME to the Battlestar Fan Club. SO SAY WE ALL!!!!
