Welcome to the 611th FS (Perseus). You will also need to join the Battlestar Raven group, click on the Raven group icon and then ask to join. I was a Perseus pilot for more than a year before anyone told me. You will also need to take the Viper test. Search "CDF Viper training manual" to download the manual. The test is the last chapter. There is no rush for this. You can also take the Raptor test if you wish.
As a new pilot you have the rank of ensign and you may like to consider a personal call sign (like my own "Aeneas"), it doesn't have to be historical or mythical.
If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask either myself or Reamer, the CAG.
