If you are interested, Clash Of Civilizations is a good e-book for Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek. It does have adult content though, so not for the kiddies. Good reading! So say we all! :o) http://www.clashofcivilizations.co/
Hi, Cylon 6. Yes, you have a convincing Cosplay get-up. Without a doubt you and your husband have lots of fun. In truth, I have never been to a Sci-Fi convention before...Galacticon 3 will be my first. Same goes for Cosplay...The closest I have ever done is Renaissance Faires...Over the years, I got lots of the real stuff, chainmail armor, brigandine leather over that, a nice full Black Watch kilt, spiked targ, claymore, gsian dubh, dirk, you name it. Unfortunately, after I finally got a really good outfit, I only kept going about three or so years. Lots of fun when I went though. Hey, you and your Husband take care, have fun, and stay with THE PLAN! So say we all, me, my self, and I...Oh, that's a line you can both use by the way, you know the immaginary or not so immaginary voices in your heads, etc.! Take care and God bless! :o) John David Feagin
The following are some good sources that I have come across for uniforms and ensembles for both versions of Battlestar Galactica, and even some props and Centurion outfits. (Looks like you're already into #6, but if you have some friends that are not yet suited up, maybe this will help.) It’s much more fun to suit-up at conventions and pose with the stars as well as for your own vanity and profile pics. You and some friends could also suit-up and make some movies for sharing with the club and on You Tube.
If you or any you know are interested in Battlestar Galactica uniforms from the re-imagined series, here are several to pick from. I got a flight suit and Commander’s blues from these folks a few years ago. Not bad for the price. You can modify at will.
If you or any you know are interested in higher end quality uniforms from both TOS and Re-Imagined Battlestar Galactica, these folks have lots of really good stuff:
Welcome to the Battlestar Fan Club, and Welcome to the fleet! So say we ALL!
This is a great club to be in, and you can meet lots of people from all over with a common interest. It's always more fun if you actively participate as well. You can add your own blogs, discussions, video clips, photos etc. (Just keep it decent for public viewing, and please no personal attacks…We want it to be fun and pleasant for everybody!)
You can also join several Battlestars, squadrons, the Colonial Marines, and already existing discussion forums as well. The more people commenting on these sites, the more fun and interesting it becomes, AND you get to put in you own two cubits.
We also have Galacticon 3 coming up, which is absolutely the opportunity of a lifetime! Very rarely if ever will you find so many stars from both versions of Battlestar Galactica at once, and actually be able to meet and talk to them!
It's also lots of fun to suit up in your favorite uniform for pics or at conventions. There is still time for Galacticon 3. If you or anybody you know are interested I can give you a list of some good sources for uniforms, ensembles, and even props from both versions of Battlestar Galactica.
If you are interested in studying up on the ships, weapon systems, etc. from both versions of Battlestar Galactica, I can point you to information on the site for that as well…Everything practical and tactical.
Please scan through all of the site and find what interests you, and we invite you to participate as much as possible…It’s always much more interesting and fun to get as many views, opinions, and ideas as possible. The more the merrier.
