You're Welcome Alma! Another bit of information for you is that there are training manuals for the Viper, Raptor and CDF OP's. Each manual has an exam at the end for you to take and submit to earn either your Viper/Raptor wings (I recommend you complete each exam as many of my pilots have done.) and certificates of each exam.

The certificates are sent to your E-mail address as a Jpeg image that can be printer, saved on your computer and as many of us do, you can post it here as an image on your page for all to see your dedication to BSG and the fan club.

You will find the training manuals inside each squadron page in the discussion area near the top of the page. I'm not trying to push any particular squadron on you, but here's a link from Perseus squadron so you have an idea where to find the rtaining manuals: http://battlestarfanclub.com/group/perseus-squadron/forum/topics/vi...

The CDF OP's manual can also be found in the discussions. There are several pages in some squadron discussions, so make sure you click view all. at the bottom of each page you will see the link to advance to the next page and so on.

One last thing is that all pilots start at the rank of Ensign and climb up the rank ladder depending on your participation with the group you join.

Feel free to add Ens. in front of your name and decide what name you want as your call sign. No two can be alike in any one group. To be honest, it's best if your call sign is unique that no one else is using. My call sign is a nick name pasted on me by a friend of my younger brother.

      Good Hunting Ensign!!!

      SO SAY WE ALL!!!!!

Welcome to the Battlestar Fan club (BFC) Alma, it's great to have you join the club!!!

I see your favorite BSG character is Kara “Starbuck” Thrace. I’m a fan of everything Battlestar Galactica. Being a Viper Jock, my favorite character is Starbuck from the original and re-imagined BSG series. When it comes to Cylon skin jobs, being a typical guy, I’m partial to the 6’s and the 8’s.

I see you joined the BFC as a member of Battlestar Santa Fe to become a Viper Pilot. Whatever interests you about BSG you couldn’t have come to a better place than the BFC. The Santa Fe is still in Dry Dock and there’s no way to know when it will become fully operational. While you’re waiting you could join one of Battlestar Ravens Viper squadrons.

I see you’re interested in becoming a Viper pilot. The Battlestar Raven is the place to be. Currently we have one Raptor and six Viper squadrons aboard the Raven. Use these direct links to see which Viper squadron you would like to join: http://battlestarfanclub.com/group/perseus-squadron http://battlestarfanclub.com/group/spartan-squadron http://battlestarfanclub.com/group/the-hammers-squadron  http://battlestarfanclub.com/group/the-minotaur  http://battlestarfanclub.com/group/flying-tigers-squadron-logo

This is a direct link to the Ravens Raptor squadron known as the Seekers: http://battlestarfanclub.com/group/the-seekers

At the present time Perseus, Spartan, Hammer, Minotaur, Flying Tigers and the Seekers squadron are looking for more pilots.

I’m Major Reamer, Battlestar Ravens CAG and squadron leader of the Flying Tigers. The Raven Airwing is always looking for a few more Viper pilots to join the group.

Each squadron has  Viper, Raptor and CDF OP's training manuals you can read through and take a test at the end to earn your wings. The CDF OP's training will earn you a certificate of completion. I recommend everyone to take advantage of these training manuals because they're packed with very interesting and useful information about BSG.
