Hi New Members. So now you've joined the Fan Club, and maybe you've expressed an interest in joining a Ship or Chapter or interest Group, like the Raven. May I suggest you consider formally joining a Fan Club sub-group, like "Battlestar Raven - BFC 002" or another Group. They're all on the list of 57 interest groups under "Groups" in the bar below the Club logo. Joining the Raven Group provides internal communications for Raven Chapter Members. Then if you like the Marine Detachment or one of the Squadrons or other Raven Teams you can join those departments within the Raven Group or any other. Any Group you join will show up on your home page and you can link to it there. You will also receive notices on your personal email when anything new is posted on your member Groups. You should only join one Ship, but you can usually join as many interest Groups as you wish. It's a very detailed and compartmentalized system, but once you get the hang of it the layout makes sense. You should know that many Groups will take time to post you to their Group. And BFC and Chapter Leadership usually enter new Members at lower rank until time, performance and completed requirements merit an advance in rank. The main thing is ask any member questions anything that interests you. We're glad to help since we're all here for the fun and friendship. Where else can you fly Viper missions or gear up and go hand to gland with some toasters? Enjoy. Regards, Paul "Iceworm" Oakley, 1st SGT, NCOIC, Battlestar Raven Colonial Marine Detachment.

  • Hello,

Have you gone through the probationary period in becoming an RCM?  There is a probationary period initiated by the Raven Marine NCOIC before making a recommendation for final acceptance in becoming an RCM.  If not, I will get you in touch with either the Raven Marine NCOIC Paul "Iceworm" Oakley or Raven Marine Charlie Detachment Commander Rob "Skyblaster" Hillman.

    Please let me know!

  • Good back ground. We could use a Comm Specialist in the Detachment. Of course all Members participate in our Main Chatroom scenarios as front-line Colonial Marines regardless of additional specialties: "Everybody jumps, everybody fights.". You seem to be well versed in BSG Canon, that's great. More later.

  • Super J. Keep posting when you wish and the OIC will review your activity for final acceptance into the MARDET. Ask any questions that come to mind. We're all here for the fun and Friendship. Good luck and welcome aboard. Iceworm.

Thanks for welcoming me aboard i have been a fan since i was a pup i welcome any advice.
  • "Groups" can be found in the red link list above just under the Fan Club logo and above the "So Say We All" banner. The sixty or so Groups are Chapters, Ship Chapters, and Sub-Chapter Groups cover many areas. And the Leadership is open to adding more if you have a good idea. You can join several Groups and Sub-Groups, but only one ship. Some Groups will review your page before adding you to their roster, so be patient. See someone interesting or in the Ship or Group you like, send them a Friend Request. Members and Leadership will be glad to answer questions and comments. We are all here for the Friendship and the Fun. Enjoy.
