My BDUs just arrived so I figure it is time to begin my work in progress as I build my first set of BSG Fleet OD greens. I only bought the shirt to begin with since I figure it will take me at least till next payday to finish the shirt so I can defray the cost a little. I have included where I got each piece and the cost. Some items I bought way more than I needed for a single uniform.

Thanks. I'm writing a detailed tutorial with lots of pics so others can make their own.

That's the one for me my friend!!!!!
Hah! I see that. Yes, it is the Season 2-4 sidearm based off of the FN 5 Seven. I got it from Arsenal Models for $35.00

Making something as exact as possible is the way to go if you have the skills and the funds to do so!!! When I build models I do the best possible job I can. There are many people out there that put my work to shame, but at least I know I did my very best!!!!
You missed mentioning what side arm you have. I like season 2 through 4 the most. It's based on the FN-5 Seven and it's a great looking weapon and packs a punch using the rifle cartridges it fires. It also is available in 9mm Luger, but I'd opt for the larger round!!!!
SO SAY WE ALL! ! ! ! !
I have some small skill with Photoshop. Completely self taught. I attached my BSG patch via velcro so I can swap out the one I am wearing easily. For my sidearm, I have the resin season pistol. I just need to finish painting it.
I love researching and making costumes. I'm in the 501st Legion where we sometimes take that to ridiculous levels. lol
Hey my friend, by the looks of this image, I think you have a talent in Photoshop, am I correct? I began taking a corespondent course in Photoshop from the New York School of Photography. I didn't finish it because I started college as a full time student and had to set it aside. Someplace I have all the lessons and I should try to finish it one of these days. The image of my Mk-II Viper flying CAP over my home state was done using Photoshop. It may not be perfect, but it loos good enough to me.

Looks Great Patches!!!! The Raven Actual had Battlestar Raven patches available, although I think she's re=ordering them at the moment. PM her and ask for one, she will let you know if she has them or you need to wait.
The season 2 side arm can usually be found on E-bay. There's also the very expensive pistol belt and holster from Anovos, or you can make your own. I saw a great tutorial on-line where they used items from what Police use. The stuff is almost the same and it costs less as well. Some people have to have screen accurate items, but not everyone would notice the difference, so why spend tons of money if your happy with what you can put together I always say!!!!
