Members pertaining to shipboard assignment and migrations:
Key rules to follow when a member joins the Battlestar Fan Club and decides to join a Battlestar Chapter within the BFC Fleet. In the event anyone is not aware a BFC member can join a chapter in the Battlestar Fan Club Fleet or the Colonial Defense Forces. The choice will remain with the member joining the community as they will have the option. Please note a member can not be a member residing on two different chapters in the communities. I will explain in further detail in order to help avoiding issues when it comes to shipboard manning. A few items will be broken into smaller subject area. I will update this as needed and allow development on a case by case basis for anything new that may arise and fall under this subject.
** Migration / Transfer as stated earlier no one member can be two ships regardless of what community there are in BFC / CDF. A member must serve on one Chapter (SHIP) only. Once a Chapter is officially commissioned in the BFC Fleet they fall under the Colonial Defense Forces as a military asset serving the Fleet. As such a member in real life can not be at two places at the same time. Thus the rule will always be a member can serve only on one ship. However you the member can request a transfer after 6 months to either another BFC ship or a CDF ship. On certain case by case a transfer can be conducted under the 6 month window depending if there are problems between a member and ships company. A member must run their transfer request through the Commanding Officer and Commander, BFC. At times problems can be resolved by either party, however if they can not a transfer will be honored.
My goal is to maintain a steady manageable fleet and well balanced. It stands to reason we can not make everyone happy if they are not comfortable on a certain chapter b/c of fellow members or personal reasons.
Any questions can be forwarded to me via email at CAG_VF84@yahoo.com please allow 24 to 48 hours for a response. Thank you for your attention and cooperation in this matter.
