Here is an affordable Colonial Warrior Uniform source:

John David Feagin
Hi! Just joined! Joanne's fabric stores has the Alova material for the jackets & tunic (be sure to bring a good picture with you for checking the colours), Kathy Pillsbury sells the holsters, pins, recharges, patches, etc. (She has a store on Ebay). You can find the belt at many army/navy stores ( I got mine at: http://www.armynavyshop.com/Merchant2/me....&Category_Code=
Get khaki & gold, dye it grey or greyish blue)
The Sidi full bore boots (or close approximation)you have to search for. A motorcycle store that sells used is a good bet.
I'm in the process of upgrading a costume presently.
Cheers!

HIGHER END BSG UNIFORMS from both original and reimagined versions:
Some of that stuff looks really good, but honestly, $100 in materials & a bunch of time sewing is gonna get me as good or better on the TOS Warrior jacket. Still working on the top of my boots I got on eBay, made the gun from a kit & the holster from a flat plastic piece bought from katarra (Kathy Pillsbury) on eBay, and the belt from army/navy...
Well I'm a huge BSG reimagined fan and I found some very nice BSG Fleet officer uniforms on the web.
At a very affordable price, but looking nice for the price I found those :
Duty blue: http://www.hellocosplay.com/battlestar-galactica-commander-william-...
Pilto flight suit : http://www.hellocosplay.com/battlestar-galactica-flightsuit-costume...
High ended and more expansive, but they look frakking awsome :
Duty Blue :http://www.galactica-uniforms.com/dutyblue.html#
Dress Grey : http://www.galactica-uniforms.com/grey.htm
I personnally purchased a Duty Blue at Hellocosplay. I'm about to receive it in 2 or 3 weeks. Both companies are operating from Japan, I think.
HEY! What is this? The links are DEAD!
What in the names of all the Lords Of Kobol is going on here?
Besides that, the uniforms that are apparently for sale at those net-sites violate Colonial Service regulations!
That design is based on a faulty translation of the ancient Legend, and I wouldn't trust it as far as I could throw it.
If Commander Adama were alive to see THAT--
--then he would be liable to go CRAZY!!!
Are you talking about my links or others? Those links work very well, at least from Canada... Those uniform from Galactica Uniforms are very accurate and comparable to those offered by the official license, but at a price more affordable...
The other, Hellocosplay, well they offer a cheaper replica of the duty blue, buttons are not accurate, neither the colour that is too dark, but for the price and for this type of replica, Its better then others. I already found the original buttons on Ebay and will add it to my uniform.
I re-checked those links. They came back to life after I had posted that message.
General Harfang, I apologize.
No worries, I was just trying to figure exactly which links were your comments about. Eventhough you seem to be a bigger fan of TOS than Reimagined BSG, you probably appreciate those beautiful uniforms made by Galactica Uniforms. But in my case, under the Colonial Service Regulation or not, the replica of Hellocosplay is what I can afford.
Please don't call me General, I'm just, in the CDF, a mere ensign, as my CAG aboard the Battlestar Responder use to say: "a low man on the pole" ;)
