Well said EnsTypewriter. I totrally agree our cockpits are not the place for added weapons, for we ourselves become one in control with our Vipers to defeat the enemy of all Humanity.
Don't forget how Starbuck while out of her Viper chose to carry a sidearm on each hip. I am all for our pilots arming themselves with the longarm of their choosing. Feel free to add whatever weapons your proficient with to your kit.
I also beleive as you do in respect to the Gods and to the use of our ejection controls. Although in my career, I have had the need to use them so I could live to fight another day.
While I was in charge of the squadron, I commanded and urged my pilots to spend additional time on the firing range. So they could in an instant protect those around them as well as themselves. However, it is an honorable thing to never have to use force, unless it is against the Cylons.
I hope to see you at the target range and once in a while at the ships lounge.
Good Hunting Ensign, I feel you may be typing a memo soon!!!
SO SAY WE ALL!!!!!
Major Reamer, if I may be so bold, while I appreciate the thought I do belive a second side arm may interfere operations within the cockpit. However I definitely would not resist a select fire pistol and would happily stow a few extended mags into my survival and expeditionary kits. Perhaps a standard carbine conversion platform would be able to fit well into said kits.
I will say I pray to the gods that I never have to touch the black and yellow handles, and only use my side arm(s) on the firing range.
Captain Hitman, I recomend that Ens Typewriter carry two sidearms instead of one and find him some extended mags. Also have the armorer convert his sidearms to selective fire so he can be ready to recycle......or should I say type.
Ens. Typewriter sounds great to me! Your call sign could be a code name to fill the toasters full of lead and send the type written report to the CO.
Captain, Thank you for the warm reception. I look forward to flying with you all.
Major, I rather like "Typewriter" as my call sign. I hope you don't mind if I use it.
I'll see the rest of you on the flight deck. Good hunting gentlemen.
So say we all.
Ens Thompson, I like your last name because it reminds me of a blaster known as the "Chicago Typewriter." I hope you have an interesting Call Sign?
Once again, Welcome and get ready to do some recycling!!!
Good Hunting!!!
SO SAY WE ALL!!!!!
Welcome Ens Thompson, it's great to have you join our merry band of Cylon Exterminators!!! Ooooops.....Captain Hitman preferes to say the Flying Tigers are into Toaster Recycling. Well, that's fine with me as long as We're Flying & They're Dying!!!
Attention Tigers!! Please join me in welcoming the newest member to our band of Toaster Recycling Unit. Ens. James Thompson.
Welcome To the Flying Tigers Ens.
After saying hello to his old spartan squadron mates,Cdr. Leonidas runs into Reamer and Hitman:
Well! Good to see you two still functioning! You two need to come visit me and Bunny on the Trireme, when you get the chance; We'll knock over some ambrosia and tell some story!
Captain Hitman is at the front of the briefing room going over his notes he has to discuss with the Tigers. Frustrated and anxious he hears the door to the briefing room open he looks up and sees his old friend and former CAG Major Reamer.
MAJOR!!! How the hell are you old friend! So great to see you! Did you see your Viper out there? She's all ready for you anytime you want to take her out.
