The late Richard Hatch aka the OG Apollo from BSG 78 never gave up on seeing the story get completed. Thus, in 1998 he tried and sadly failed with proof of concept reel pilot that has only been seen in trailer form with the full 33 minute version never scene by the public. Hence for the BSG 78 50th anniversary in 2028 what better way to honor him then to screen the full version at cons or online or even put it with the special edition 50th boxset of said BSG 78.
