NOTE: **THE WEBSITE WILL GO THROUGH SOME CHANGES FOR THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CLUB ORGANIZATION - JULY 1, 2025**
Anyone know where I can get a really good set of Mark II Viper blueprints? Many nice pics and drawings out there but, I need something with measurements and cross sections. Been kicking around the idea of building a Mk II Viper (yes full size) but, I need to know will it fit out my garage. Realize the wings would have to be removeable so, the big questions is how wide is the tail end at the engines. Length wise I don`t think it would be a problem, building a new garage next year anyway so I can build the garage to fit. I also have an extra long enclosed car trailer here if need to house or move the Viper.
Thanks for all your help. Rob

Great looking site, Robert. Love the detail and background on the props. These items could keep modelers and cosplayers busy for months! Thanks.
You may already know this, but the folks with the full size Cylon Raider help cover their cost by charging for photos at the events they attend. It's very popular.
My pleasure. Anything I can do to help, lmk.
Paul, Thanks for tip about the Raven Engineering folks. Sent them a message and waiting for an answer back.
Thanks Roger,
I was thinking it was around 30 long and say 15 feet wide roughly speaking. I was using a Moebius model trying to scale out the measurements. Looks like the wings are 1/3 the wing span on each side. So, I`m thinking the tail end by the engines would be around 5-6 feet wide. Which would work perfect for my car trailer as the door is 7 1/2 feet wide. Trailer is 22 feet long so the nose would have to be removable forward of the landing gear. Height wise I have noticed in shots when someone is standing next to the Viper the cockpit is slightly higher then them. Say 6 1/2-7 feet to the top of the cockpit frame but, the top fin/wing/rudder could be removeable also. And if need be the body could be jacked up with the landing gear itself removed. Just a matter of lower the body on dollies to roll it around if need be.
Hi Robert,
If you take a look at the Mk-II's page on the Battlestar Wiki: http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Viper_Mark_II
You can at least see what the overall size is. The Length is: 27.6'
Wing Span is: 15.5'
Height is: 8.9'
I'm not sure how accurate those dimensions are, but it's all that I've ever been able to find. I hope this helps you out as you make plans for your new garage.
That's an awesome idea Robert!!!!! I bought a so called set of Viper Mk-II plans on E-bay hoping they would have dimensions. The plans were nothing more than a bunch of line drawings. I was so upset the seller listed them as Blueprints that I wanted to send them back.
Someone out there must have what we're looking for, but if you find actual blueprints they will be very expensive.
Hi Robert. Sounds like a good idea. Not sure, but Raven Engineering folks might be the ones to check with on this. Actual mentioned that someone, maybe you, was thinking of building a full size Snake. She can tell you better than me where to get plans and collaboration. Good luck, and good hunting. Look forward to seeing how you proceed. Regards, Paul
