"ONE OF THE OLDEST IF NOT ALREADY THE OLDEST FAN CLUB ORGANIZATION FOR BATTLESTAR GALACTICA"

"There are those who believe that life here began out there, far across the universe, with tribes of humans who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians, or the Toltecs, or the Mayans. Some believe that there may yet be brothers of man who even now fight to survive, somewhere beyond the heavens."

" ON JULY 1, 2024, THE BATTLESTAR GALACTICA FAN CLUB CELEBRATES 24 YEARS! "

NOTE:  **THE WEBSITE WILL GO THROUGH SOME CHANGES FOR THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CLUB ORGANIZATION - JULY 1, 2025**

Hmmmm…I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas or insight about Starbuck in the Re-imagined series. I’m talking about when she flew her Viper off and imploded, then came back, in a new pristine Viper, then found her old Viper and dead body on old nuked Earth, and freaked out. She was not a ghost like Gaius’s Number 6, because she interacted with others and saved the fleet by bringing them to New Earth. Was it a sort of trans-dimensional thing where various realities merged? I’m thinking maybe they were copying the old version’s leaving Starbuck abandoned on a planet, only to save mankind by sending the woman and child back while he remained there. Maybe also, since the writers were willing to kill off main characters, they had intended to do so with her, but got too much angry feedback. Maybe I’m missing something. Maybe there was a resurrection ship that reanimated a copy of her body…the Cylons were advancing in their technology and could make real human clones and not just the original 12 prototypes. That would make sense, I suppose, because it would be the next logical step in their endeavors to become more human, and cloning is already possible. They DID get some of her DNA when she was briefly a prisoner. Hmmmm…So many unanswered questions. What say you? Closure to this mysterious enigma would bring closure to many, I believe. So say we all.

It may be time for...ONE MORE EPISODE!

I have Richard Hatch's books but have only skimmed thim.  I'm not familiar with the final 5 series.  I'll have to look into it.

I was thinking there were just 12 models but many copies.  What ever the case, they would impossible to identify if they were just sleeper agent humans...knowingly or unknowingly so.  In such a case, there would be no need to midify their plan at all.  Oh well...as Mr. Olmos' Adama said...in the end it really doesn't matter anyway.  Good hunting.

Who says there weren't more models?...nobody did.

And by the way we DID lose...the human race did survive, but we lost the war without a doubt...

Maybe she was Pythia reincarnated. Who's read the Final Five comic book series?

Shawn said it way better than me, but that's along the same lines as my interpretation.

Yep. In the cases of BOTH Starbucks, (original and re-imagined) there seems to be some sort of devine intervention thing going on, where they end up saving humanity.  As for me, when Kara Thrace vanished I just figured she had also had enough of "People" like the Chief, and wasn't much for long mushy emotional clingly good-byes...which would have been inevitable with Apollo.  By the end of the final episode, they were all emotionally spent and would no doubt have some serious PTSD, being the only survivors from the previous 25 billion person civilization and years of fleeing and fighting for survival, finding a nuked out Earth, etc.  It reminds me of the second Terminator, limping along, mangled and falling to pieces, saying, "I need a vacation!" :o)

I guess my next question would be...why just 12 models of Cylons when they could have cloned as many different distinct humans as they liked that could not have been identified?  They could still use the same memory downloads I would think. Maybe it just takes too long to grow human clones. Oh well...It's probably good they didn't or we would have lost for sure!

If I may...Jane Espenson...who was one of the primary writers on the show the last couple of seasons said recently that Kara Thrace and her "being" was left up to the viewers imagination and interpretation on purpose...there was intentional ambiguity on it...she even joked that it would be nice to think that Kara simply decided to say 'Frak this!" and crawl away from the scene commando style!...she didn't disappear, she was making her way out of there in the tall grass! The Cylon Leoben was quite convinced that she was an angel and also appeared to panic when the found her body on Earth...my interpretation is that she did indeed die and her spirit was manifested physically by "the power or powers that be" to guide the fleet to our Earth and when that task was finished she was made aware of what she was and it was time to zip up to the proverbial ship of lights...
