Welcome to the Battlestar Fan Club (BFC) Barry, it's great to have you join the club!!!

I see your favorite BSG character is Starbuck. I’m a fan of everything concerning Battlestar Galactica. Being a Viper Pilot, my favorite character is Starbuck from both the Original and Re-imagined BSG.  From a man’s point of view, when it comes to Cylon skin jobs, I’m partial to the 6’s and the 8’s.

I see that you joined the crew of the Trireme and you want to be a Viper Pilot. I’ve been told that Gunstars like the Trireme don’t have Vipers because they don’t have launch tubes. Don’t get me wrong, you can still be a member of the Trireme. The Trireme has Raptors and maybe you could be a Viper and Raptor Pilot. As a crewman of the Trireme you would fly Raptors and from time to time you could take out a Viper from the Battlestar Raven.

Gunstar Trireme is part of the Battlestar Raven’s Battle Group which currently has 1 Raptor squadron and 6 Viper squadrons. If you want to become a Viper Pilot you certainly came to the right place.

At the present time Spartan, Perseus, Hammer, Minotaur and Blue squadrons are shorthanded and are looking for more pilots.

Each training manual has an exam at the end. The exams are multiple choice and they are open book exams. If you finish either the Viper or Raptor training manuals you will earn your wings and if you score 100% on the Viper exam you will also become a “TOP GUN” Viper pilot. The Ops manual will give you a certificate of completion, but the information you learn about the military wing of the BSG Universe will be a great help to you as a Pilot.

Hello, Barry, and WELCOME to the Battlestar Fan Club!  It's a great club, and we all hope you really enjoy it.  It's the most fun if everybody participates, so please post and boast on the forums and discussions, (and meet new friends who share a common interest) as well as check out all of the groups you can participate in. (Just look up at the top bar and pick Groups.)  There are battlestars eager for you to sign up, as well as squadrons, you name it, even Pyramid and Cylon stuff!  Lots of the groups are into discussing certain topics, while others are into role playing, so just check it out and find what interests you the most.  Feel free also to start your OWN groups, topics, blogs, discussions, etc.  The more who participate the more fun it is for all.
