For most of my life, I was a non TV type person, sure a few childhood favorites, In 2007, I discovered Heroes on Netflix, it was the first series I watched from beginning to end. I loved it, getting lost in a story that goes on and on... until its over. A few of my favorites, Jericho, Dead Like Me, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, 24, Lost…but nothing, compares to the magic of BSG.
I am waiting until the right time to watch it all again. It will be the first and only series that I will watch again…and I am already getting excited about the new insights, the new perspective that I will enjoy the second time around. BSG has became a part of who I am, I am now so much more aware of the humanity of us all. I could go on and on but the thing I really want to say is its wonderful to have a place to share with people that have like me been touched by art in such a perfect expression.
So, say hello and I would love to hear your thoughts on your BSG experience.

Stopped by to say Greetings!!!!
Hi Alice,
I started with BSGFC last year and joined CDF just this month. I filled in the access request and heard back from Admiral Rivera (who is actually in the US Navy). The information I received indicated that I was from Caprica. Not sure how that was determined, it seemed to be quite random of a selection. I put in to be a civilian but that status is up for possible change. .It seems that CDF has a number of active duty military and Vets in its ranks which has its own appeal since I am a vet as well. Haven't done much with the CDF yet and not getting a whole lot of what the CDF is about but was very excited to support Daniel in his pursuit of allying both the CDF and BSGFC I have joined the BFC Tigerclaw (BSC-002) group, which is a battlestar that will, eventually, be detached to the 6th fleet on the CDF. Daniel recommended the ship which is based out of Louisiana. Admiral Beau Thacker commands the ship and seems to be a nice enough guy. The Tigerclaw's address is http://battlestarfanclub.com/group/bfc002tigerclaw
I've been out of the swing of things here over the last several months but am trying to acclimate back into the group. Since I have been with the group, I have found that Paul Nix is a big fan as well. He is from Texas and is an avid collector in both the Star Trek and BSG realms. I may get to meet him in Dallas next month during the comic con, that's an exciting prospect. I'm primarily going to see Stan Lee and Leonard Nimoy, haven't seen any BSG actors to be there yet. Hopefully, I answered your questions. Not as well as I wanted to for the CDF, though. Don't hesitate to ask anything, I'll be happy to help you out to the best of my abilities...
