"LEADING THE BSG UNIVERSE KEEPING THE FAITH ALIVE"
This is an interactive, ongoing project designed to explore everyone's creativity. The central theme is mythology & the object is to add in your own creative way a bit to the project...be it a picture, a poem, a story, music or a video...it just has to have some relevence to the central theme of mythology as well as to Battlestar Galactica (please namecheck BSG)...just bear this in mind: There are those who believe...that life here began out there, far across the Universe...with tribes of humans...who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians...or the Toltecs...or the Mayans...that they may have been the architects of the Great Pyramids...or the lost civilizations of Lemuria...or Atlantis.
Some believe that there may yet be brothers of man...who even now fight to survive--somewhere beyond the heavens!

This is from the Alan Parsons project...Sirius/Eye in the sky...from their work Eye in the sky which had an Egyptian theme to it...and exemplifies in turn the mythology of Battlestar Galatica...

Another video bit...this is Host's "Mars, God of War"...which in case you don't get the connection to Battlestar Galactica by inference...well, then you missed all the battles!
Now on to a more serious perspective as I am still chuckling over the meaning of Stonehenge. And can I just say that when I visited Stonehenge about 15 years ago, I wanted to break into song like that....LOL
Here are some thoughts I had about the mythos surrounding Battlestar. The whole concept of humans evolving elsewhere and then coming to populate earth was very fascinating to me and offered a unique perspective. We know that in a way, life did come from out there. If you ascribe to the hypothesis (or theory) of panspermia-that life is "seeded" from the cosmos delivered by asteroids, meteors, explosions of celestial bodies, etc. Also, we often consider that alien beings that are not human may have visited at some point and shared knowledge and technology with us. But what I found so interesting about Battlestar was that it was actual HUMANS who evolved elsewhere, then came to Earth and found humans ALSO having sprung up and in the midst of evolution there. In the last episode of the reimagined series, they flew the fleet into the sun and agreed not to start building advanced cities, thereby destroying all of their technology and preventing it from being passed on to the ancient humans that they had discovered on the planet. However, I noticed that they had to fly down a raptor and a viper or two right? So if they didn't destroy those or if those aircrafts were seen by the ancient peoples there, that could tie into ancient cave drawings and sculptures of airplanes, aircraft, etc. I would have liked to have seen one brief scene of vipers and raptor drawings in a Mayan cave at the end of that episode.
So in saying all that, Battlestar made me wonder about the possibility of a shared human structure or DNA existing across the universe. All a planet needs is to be in the "Goldilocks zone" and the presence of certain elements to support the evolution of humanity. If that is possible, have we been visited by evolved humans before? Are they our ancestors? And if so, maybe we are indeed all created from the same star dust.
Shawn, that video!!! Bahahahaha. I am laughing my ass off. Nearly spit coffee all over my computer screen. "the greatest henge I've ever seen..." LOL Thanks for that.
ok, we are talking mythology...stonehenger IS part of that....Battlestar Galactica?...maybe Galen Tyrol was busy building something when he "went north"...it's a least a possibility.
This video by the popular Norweigan talk show host Ylvis is crude, rude, risque and very, very funny...it's always good to kick up your heels and have a good time...because humor is part of the tapestry of our lives.....

Maya is a civilian within the Fleet, entrusted by President Roslin to adopt and raise Hera, the Human/Cylon hybrid child of Karl and Sharon Agathon. After deciding that the child cannot be raised by her birth parents, Roslin summarily orders Galactica's Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Cottle to stage Hera's death as a means to hide her from both human and Cylon knowledge.
Selected from a list created for Roslin by Tory Foster, Maya is told that the baby was given up by an officer on Pegasus due to political and religious reasons (Downloaded). Maya names the child Isis, unaware of her true origins (Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II).
Maya becomes a teacher and aide to Roslin upon colonization of New Caprica (Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II).
