Raven Marine OIC- Brigadier Gen. Eduardo "Enforcer"
Raven Marine NCOIC- Master Gunnery Sergeat- Paul "Iceworm" Oakley
What is it like to be a Marine aboard the Raven you ask? I believe the General Orders that all new Marine Recruits have to know and memorize will tell it all.
-To take charge of this post and all BFC property in view
-To walk my post in a military manner, keeping always on the alert and observing everything that takes place within sight or hearing.
-To report all violations of orders I am instructed to enforce.
-To repeat all calls from posts more distant from the guardhouse than my own. IE: in the event of a COMM breakdown, all orders must be yelled or verbally given to the next sentry no matter the distance from the next post and so on...until the entire unit knows the same order issued.
-To quit my post only when properly relieved.
-To receive, obey and pass on to the sentry who relieves me all orders from the Executive Officer, Detachment commander, and officers, both commissioned and non-commissioned, of the guard only.
-To talk to no one except in the line of duty.
-To give the alarm in case of fire or disorder.
-To call the MarDet Commander or the XO in any case not covered by instructions.
-To salute all officers and all colors and standards not cased.
-To be especially watchful at all times, especially wartime, and to challenge all persons on or near my post and to allow no one to pass without proper authority.

You are very much welcome! You just came at the right time when Marine Contigents here are getting ready to be established. Real life responsibilities delayed me from implementing those groups. As you know, real life duty comes first.
And one more advice, don't ever type using your phone LOL. You will have typos just like I did!

Hey all, new member here, longtime BSG fan, since the initial showing of the original series. I've since become a passionate fan of the new series, due to the fact the final episode really falls along into my personal beliefs.
Anyhow, I live in North Carolina, hope some other members live here
So Say We All!!!
School is out! Private Scorpion reporting as ordered Sir! :D
RAVEN MARINES,
I have to apologize for my absence. My duty to our country pretty much occupied my time. But now that it has calm down a bit, you will see me here around more often. During my absense, I have been able to develop the Marine Manual which I will implement aboard the Raven pending Command approval. So all my Marines better dust the their boots off, get their gears ready, and be ready for some training. IS THAT CLEAR?!?!?!?!? No more slacking off now that I am back.
AWWOOORRRRRHHHH! AWOOOORRRRRHHHHH!

Here are a couple of ideas on SOP topics.
Boarding Parties
Repelling of Boarders
Brig Management
Security Augmentation
Archer, you are the man!
Marines, I think it would be good to start incorperating our own testing to get on an even footing with the fighter jocks who seem to think sitting in a cockpit and working thier joystick is all it takes to be at the Top. Part of my regular duties includes creating and executing testing for Soldier proficency at the Unit and indvidual level and I think we can put something togther that Enforcer 6 can take to Raven Actual that she would approve and with a little luck we can get it as a fleet SOP. I have a lot of resources I can pull from and we can their it to specify between Fleet Marines, Regular Infantry, and SPEC OPS. I think we can do written for the first two and add a physical component to the third (Ruck March, Swim etc). I would like everyone's inpt as to what they think of the idea and what it is that we should include. Also I haven't seen alot of Doctrine for a Colonial Marine so it won't be like the Viper and Raptor Manuals but I think we can get something together just as good. Look forward to hearing your thoughts.
