Thank You Sir, I will be sure to keep Actual and your self informed as to how the testing proceeds. Chief Beaton isn't going to be happy at all, but he's got no say in the matter. He should be happy that more of his birds will be home for him to fix after we kick some Cylon tail across the galaxy.

“Attention to Orders” Flying Tiger’s!!!!!!

This briefing was called for an Important Anouncement!!!!!

 

I have volinteered our squadron to perform testing of a new Top Secret Weapons System called the “Cylon Exterminator Weapons System” (CEWS).

 

CEWS is a short range air to air missile system (SRAAM’s) that was designed mainly as a defencive weapon. Six Aim-9000 SRAAM’s will be mounted under the wings facing aft. CEWS will have a spereate targeting screen that will allow the missiles to be fired manually or automatically depending on the cercomstances.

 

In other words, CEWS is to protect your six in the event your wingman is shot down or lured away and you find yourself alone and outnumbered with raiders knocking at your back door.CEWS will come in handy when all Vipers are recalled to the ship due to a pending jump. In this case CEWS can be manually deployed to destroy any Cylons in persuit.

 

This system is “NOT INTENDED” as an aid for inexperienced piolts or a substitute for poorly excicuting proper tactics while engaging the enemy. As you know, the Cylons have resurection, Humans don’t. CEWS’s ultimate purpose is to allow us to live to fight another day Gods willing.

 

Now a little background and specs of the CEWS. I will make this as brief as possible, so pay attention.  Many of you know I’m from Scorpia, but none of you know anything about my family or the work my father was involved with before my parents were lost in a storm on the Palentia Ocean on Scorpia.

 

My father was a designer and major stock holder of the Viper production facility in the city of Amura on Scorpia. A missile system known as the AIM-9000 was designed by my fathers group and was a tried and true SRAAM used against the Cylons until it was made obsolete by the current HD-10 Lightning Javilen Missile system.

 

While I was recently on leave to my home world I meet with a close friend and designer that worked with my father. We had a few drinks and I explained how we were loosing Pilots to the Cylons. He told me of a large stock pile of Aim-9000’s that were awaiting dissarming and recycling in Amura. One thing lead to another and through this conversation, the “Cylon Exterminator Weapon System” (CEWS) was born and AIM-9000 has a new lease on life.

 

Aim-9000 specifications:

 

• Advanced nose cone monuted micro processor enhanced by electro-optical imaging technologies and advanced digital processing and seeker technology.

• This combination allows the AIM 9000 to discern more detailed images, improving their ability to distinguish between enemy fighter and any flare countermeasures they may deploy.
• Resistance to infrared countermeasures, increased off-bore sighting capabilities and high in-flight agility.
• Advanced heat seeker calibrated to seek out the thermal signature of Cylon targets.
• Equipped with both proximity and impact fuses, it can engage Cylon targets autonomously in outer space or atmospheric conditions in all types of weather, during day or night and in full electronic countermeasure environments.
• Improved performance made possible by its unique solid fuel, variable-flow, ducted propulsion system.

Testing will begin as soon as our Vipers are fitted with the new equipment.

As per the CO’s orders, all those that have passed their Viper training must sound off here so your names can be added to the Ravens Flight Status Board as active pilots. It is imperative that Viper training to be completed to protect the Raven in the event of a Cylon attack as well as protect the Fleet! ! ! ! !

CAG, I posted a status of my qualifications on my page the same as you have done. I have had a copy of my CDF certificates in my photos since July of 2012. Anyone that wants to see what the "Top Gun" Award Certificate looks like just take a look at my photo album.
