Shaking herself from her intense concentraition it takes Smith a moment to realize what the CPO said, when she does she beams, "Thank you Chief."
Hmmm... *Carefully inspects the DRADIS dish* Good work, Smith. You obviously have a knack for this.
Keep it up, and you could make Specialist in six or seven months.
"Yes ss..aaah Chief!" Heading over to the indicated dish she immediately loses interest or awareness to her surroundings. Going carefully she strips down the component, making certain to keep all of the parts organized before then methodically, but quickly cleaning each, then carefully reassembling it. While slower than the process might be, she is careful to be thorough and correct so that once the dish is reassembled all the parts that should be greasy are greasy, all the parts that should be shiney are shiney, and wonder of wonders, the entire thing is also functional!
Alright then, Smith. Let's get an idea of what you learned in basic training, shall we?
We'll start with something simple. This is the mounting for a Raptor's DRADIS dish, I want you to strip down, clean, and reassemble it.
Smith continues to stand there as though waiting for the undoubted pearls of wisdom to magically come to being from those of unending wisdom and experience who surround her. No indication that she heard anything like a mutter, likely as it was not the expected widom pearl. Her expression a study of eagerness to learn, her being seemingly poised to act on any order given by those above her.
That's better. *Mutters* Sending me half trained children.
"Yes Sssss...errr uh yes Chief!" So speaks crewman apprentiace Smith sounding rather like a broken pressure valve as she changes mental tracks.
SIR! Who you callin' sir, girlie? I'm a Chief Petty Officer, not one'a them pointy nosed Viper jockeys! You address me as Chief!
OOC Thank you!
IC: Crewman Apprentice Melyssa Smith sir, I have always love tinkering with old systems and generally keeping the waste matter from hitting the reactor. I have a lot to learn of course sir but I am happy and eager to do so.
OOC: Start at the bottom, the lowest of the low, Crewman Apprentice. :)
