STRIKE RAPTOR
This Is The Heavily-Armed Version Of The Raptor; It Will Be Referred To As A STRIKE Raptor Here Because Of The Fact That 'Assault' Has Many Different Meanings And Modes.
This Type Has Several Hardpoints Under the Wings And Fuselage Where A Variety Of Weapons Can Be Carried Including Bombs, Missiles, Gun Pods, Rocket Pods, And Nuclear Weapons; On The Upper Fuselage Is Mounted Two Static Rocket Pods That Can Launch Anti-Ship, Anti-Fighter, or Air To Ground Ordinance.
It's Primary Tasks Are To Provide Heavy Fire Support For Viper Patrols, Anti-Base Star Attack, Air to Ground Attack,including SEAD(Suppression Of Enemy Air Defenses), And Can Provide Perimeter Defense For Battlestars, If Needed; Like It's Unarmed Cousin, The Standard Raptor, It Can Perform A Myriad Of Other Tasks,When Necessary.
The Type retains It's Standard Crew Of Two.

This is my Raptor of choice. I think all Standard Raptors should all be armed except for the upper Rocket Pods. What can I say, I'm a Viper jock whom takes pride in eliminating as many Toasters as possible. I know recon and all the other tasks are very important, but why go out unarmed? The Cylons don't care one way or the other, they'll attack anything with a human inside.

Oh, I'm With You On That, Reamer; However, You Can't Arm Every Raptor Because Of The Weight Penalties; If You Have A EVAC Mission In Progress, And They Need To Get out Quick, well, You Can't Have Extra Equipment Slowing You Down; Be Thankful The Raptor Is FTL Capable!

I totally agree with you CAG Sir. If members are being evacuated or rescued their extra weight is more important than any armament the Raptor may be equipped with.
