Some time ago, I read that the Cylons were originally designed and built by a dying reptilian race called the Cylons. As much as this race hated humans, they found the human design the most efficient…Continue

According to the novelization - and I believe SOSW - the actual reptilian Cylons had long since died off and all that's left are the Centurions and the IL-Series (like Lucifer and Specter). Imperious Leader itself is an IL-series (IL = Imperious Leader, natch), but has a covering that makes it look like one of the original Cylons.
hey mark. you are correct in that the cylon progenitors were reptilian. there was a 2 part episode with commander cain in it where bojay, starbuck, apollo, Cassiopeia, and sheba went to a planet to steal their fuel. it was called "the living legend". in those episodes, the reptilian cylons are shown along with the robotic ones.
I grew up watching the show when it came out in 1978, but since Richard's passing I don't watch it anymore, but the memories of the original BSG will live on in my memories of that show will live on forever and those of want to know where to watch go on NBC's website access the classic shows section for the show. Long Live Battlestar Galactica.
Some of the early Classic episodes did refer to the Cylon progenitors as being 'Reptilian'..Caprica77..I still have a few of the VHS tapes and watch them!
starbuck always and dirk is the one and only.
Of all the characters in the series my favorite is Captain Apollo Strike Commander of Blue Squadron played by my favorite actor Richard Hatch. So Say We All.
Does anyone know how to contact Herbert Jefferson Jr's. (Boomer's) people? I have a personal request concerning a recent meeting. I haven't been able to find a way to contact an agent or assistant or staff. Can anyone help with this?
Classic fans might find this curious- the auction of Adama's uniform, original series at Profiles in History. Not sure what it went for. That uniform, and an original warriors uniform, are on page 111-112 of the "Hollywood Auctions 56" pdf at-

I'm glad too see this is somehow, still preserved.
"The 1980 version of the classic edition, which I have taken to referring to as 'The Modern Legend Of The Twelve Tribes,' was disappointing by comparison to the original, which I call 'The Ancient Legend Of The Twelve Tribes.' That much I concede.
"But disappointment or not, 'The Modern Legend' IS a production that HAS to be recognized as canon. I will not accept 'Rude' Moore's re-imagining as legitimate."
