"ONE OF THE OLDEST IF NOT ALREADY THE OLDEST FAN CLUB ORGANIZATION FOR BATTLESTAR GALACTICA"

"There are those who believe that life here began out there, far across the universe, with tribes of humans who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians, or the Toltecs, or the Mayans. Some believe that there may yet be brothers of man who even now fight to survive, somewhere beyond the heavens."

Greetings to all. I attended Comicpalooza last Sunday, but got to Battlestar Raven's booth almost towards the end of the show. Needless to say, it was a real treat to see the display and the Viper mock up, kudos to the crew! Perhaps next year I'll catch up and share some more thoughts. Although the visit was brief it was fun. Good job!

Good News! It LOOKS LIKE an old source for Colonial Warrior jackets, uniforms, props, etc. is back on line. They went out off line a few years ago, but with renewed interest in Battlestar Galactica, they seem to be up and running again. Many of you know they used to be one of the best sources for AFFORDABLE Colonial Warrior uniforms, including the ever coveted jacket. Check'em out, but leave some for me.

Hi Everyone,

For those who know me and have read my Biography, you know I grew up watching many science fiction shows. I was 18 Yahrens old when the original Battlestar Galactica series was on TV. Like all of you, I was shocked when the series was canceled.

My brother and I worked for my father. My father's business was called Plainville Fabricating Company; it was a small family operated metal fabrication company. Back in 1980 we built the steel framework and structure of a buoy that was going to be placed off the California coast near LA.

My father and I went to California to assemble the Buoy along with an Engineer and a couple workers from the company that made the floats for the Buoy. It was a great experience for me at the age of 20 and I will never forget it.

When the job was finished my father and I rented a car (A Mercury Bobcat IE Pinto 4 speed stick shift) and did some sight seeing. We traveled north up Ventura Highway; it was great!!! All I could think about was the song by America titled Ventura Highway http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70E-f63_Jc4 and the fact that I was there seeing it for myself.

I got to drive up and down the hills in the City of San Francisco and let me tell you, there are many stop signs on those hills and  I'm driving a stick shift; it was quite an experience. We went to Sequoia National Park to see the giant Redwood trees and last but not least, we went to Universal Studios.

I was so excited because at the time Universal still had people dressed up walking around as Colonial Warriors and yes the Chrome Headed Cylons. I took lots of photos, but it was so long ago that I don't know what happened to my photos. If I ever find the them I will be sure to post some her for everyone to see.

Thanks for allowing me to join the BlackStar Squadron!!!!!!

SO SAY WE ALL! ! ! ! !
