For years the Colonial colonies have thrived without the treat of invasion from their mechanical children. As the colonies thrived so did their desire to venture beyond their own solar system to find new solar systems to explore and planets to colonize. So man began the task of building ships that would carry them beyond their known solar system.
Some would say that man was searching for a path way to the mythical planet known as Earth where the thirteenth tribe of Kobol and gone to. The Scientist of man insistened that the exploration beyond the known Coloinal solar system was to better mankind as well as to truely understand where life itself had began.
The Yatleau was once one of the Colonial military crusiers that had most of it's armaments removed as well as one fourth of it's viper and raptor complement reassinged throught out the Colonial fleet prior to it's five year exploration mission. It's Commanding Officer Colonel Fredrick "Wolf" Acousta had seccusfully persuaded the Quorum of the Twelve to keep a military presence on board the Yatleau during the five year space exploration mission.
What seamed like only yesterday to Colonel Acousta was now factual and the Yatleau was now coming home along with those that had boarded her those long five years ago. Yet it all came to a sudden hault when they entered into Colonial space.
"We've got mutiple bogies!" Shoutedthe CIC tactical officer as warning klaxons sound throughout the CIC.
Both Colonel Acousta and Doctor William Markus looked at each other.
"Their attacking the Coloinal Fleet yard!"
Colonel Acousta quickly grabbed the handset next to him at the command table. "Attention all hands! Active Stations! Set All stations to level one! Active Stations! This is not a drill!"
"Lords of Kobol." Uttered the tactical officer as he read the signature signals from the DRADIS.
Colonel Acousta turned in the direction of where the tactical station was, "Who is it, Lieutenant?" He asked.
"Cylons, Sir." He answered.
"It can't be." Answered Doctor Markus.
"They have a distinct energy signal, Sir. It's them." Answered the tactical Officer.
"But they've been silent for forty years. It can't be them not after all this time." Doctor Markus said.
"Well they're not silent any more, Doctor." Replied Major Daniel Allen. "Do we launch vipers, Colonel."
"That's not going to be much against them." Doctor Markus pointed out. "We should open diplomatic channel with them."
"Open diplomatic channels with them!" Major Allen said then pointed up to the DRADIUS screen above the command table. "Does it look like they want to talk diplomatically to us right now?" He asked.
"Do we launch our vipers or do we just stand here and watch our fleet yard get turn the scrap, Sir." Major Allen said to Colonel Acousta.
Colonel Acousta looked up at the DRADIUS screen then over at Doctor Marcus and finally at his executive officer. "Launch vipers." He ordered.

Vipers and Raptors shot out from the launch bays of the Yatleau and quickly took up their combat formations. “Look alive everyone and watch your six.” Called out the CAG officer to his group.
“Roger that.” Came the replies back.
“Rator Four One Three Sir! There's a battlestar departing from the shipyard!” Annouced Windwalker.
“Roger that Raptor Four One Three.” Acknowledged the CAG Officer. “Let's give that battlestar some cover fire and get those tin cans off her back so that she can get clear of the shipyard.”
Back in the Yatleau Command Center Colonel Acousta, Major Daniel Allen, and Doctor Marcus listen to the events taking place outside. “Where the frack did they come from!” Major Daniel Allen usttered.
“Only the Gods know that, Major.” Doctor Marcus replied.
“God didn't create the cylons, Doctor. We did.” Colonel Acousta said as he removed another viper off the tactical board.
Doctor Marcus looked at Acousta and shook his head in agreement, “Quite right, Colonel. My apologies.”
“No need to apologize, Doctor.”
“Colonel Acousta! We're being hailed by the Pegasus.” Calleed out the Communications Officer.
Acousta picked up the phone next to him, “Yatleau actual, Colonel Fredick Acousta Commanding.”
“This is Admiral Cain of the Battlestar Pegasus, Colonel. I want you and your convoy to jump to the coordinates that we're about to send to you.”
“I'm not about to leave my people behind, Admiral.” Colonel Acousta answered.
“There's no time for you or the Pegasus to wait to recover our figthers. You either jump to the coordinates I send to you or face a court marshal for disobeying my direct orders.” Replied Admrial Cain.
“Who the frack does she this she is!” Major Daniel Allen said. “She's not in charge of the fleet.”
Colonel Acousta smiled. “Are these orders direct from Admiral Nagala?” He asked Admiral Cain.
“No, Colonel! They're my fracking orders!” Answered Cain.
“Then you won't mind if I confirm them with Admiral Nagala.” Replied Colonel Acousta.
“Fine, Colonel! You do that! And when you do meet up with me at the coordinates I have just sent to you I'll have a team come over to the Yatleau and arrest you for disobeying my direct orders.” Admiral Cain said.
“We'll cover your exit for you Admiral.” Colonel Acousta replied as he hunf the phone up. “Major Have those Coordinates distrubted throughout our exploration fleet.”
“Colonel.” Doctor Marjus said injecting.
“Yes Doctor?” Answered Colonel Acousta.
“We should at least get as many survivors from Scorpia as can before we leave the area.”
“Have you gone out of your fracking mind!” Major Daniel Allen said to Doctor Marcus. “We don't have enough fighters and raptors to even muster a rescue operation right now and it way to hot out there to stay here for much longer.”
“Doctor Marcus is right, Major. We must at least get as many survivors as we can.” Answered Colonel Acousta.
Major Dainel Allen looked at him, “You are firing on all thursters now, Colonel. How do you plan on pull off a rescue mission during all this fighting.”
“Sir! We're getting civilian spacecraft launching from the surface of Scorpia.” Annouced the Tactical Officer.
“Looks like they're doing that on their own, Major.” Acousta said to Major Dainel Allen then turned to his Tactical Officer, “Have our fighters provide cover fire for those civilian vessels and tell those vessels to join up with our exploration fleet. Then get me Admiral Nagala on the horn.
“Aye, Sir.”
