NOTE: **THE WEBSITE WILL GO THROUGH SOME CHANGES FOR THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CLUB ORGANIZATION - JULY 1, 2025**
Hi New Members. So now you've joined the Fan Club, and maybe you've expressed an interest in joining a Ship or Chapter or interest Group, like the Raven. May I suggest you consider formally joining a Fan Club sub-group, like "Battlestar Raven - BFC 002" or another Group. They're all on the list of 57 interest groups under "Groups" in the bar below the Club logo. Joining the Raven Group provides internal communications for Raven Chapter Members. Then if you like the Marine Detachment or one of the Squadrons or other Raven Teams you can join those departments within the Raven Group or any other. Any Group you join will show up on your home page and you can link to it there. You will also receive notices on your personal email when anything new is posted on your member Groups. You should only join one Ship, but you can usually join as many interest Groups as you wish. It's a very detailed and compartmentalized system, but once you get the hang of it the layout makes sense. You should know that many Groups will take time to post you to their Group. And BFC and Chapter Leadership usually enter new Members at lower rank until time, performance and completed requirements merit an advance in rank. The main thing is ask any member questions anything that interests you. We're glad to help since we're all here for the fun and friendship. Where else can you fly Viper missions or gear up and go hand to gland with some toasters? Enjoy. Regards, Paul "Iceworm" Oakley, 1st SGT, NCOIC, Battlestar Raven Colonial Marine Detachment.

Great message Iceworm!!! I couldn't have said it any better. Why join a fan club and not get involved? The amount of effort you put into something especially the Battlestar Fan Club, you will surely receive back. This is the place to be for all fans of Battlestar Galactica!!!!
SO SAY WE ALL! ! ! ! !
Absolutely! The more who participate the more fun it is for everybody!
So say we all!
Hi I just joined the group; but where are the listing of chapters, and where can I find a copy of your membership booklet? Your website lacks a few things that I would find important, things like promotions, how long do you stay in one grade, how do you become an officer, are there any schools, etc.... So before I spend more time and energy on a group; I'd like at least to know more about the group...

I have both the Viper and Raptor training manuals in the Flying Tigers Squadron page. Anyone is welcome to take the exams and become a pilot. Pilots start at the rank of Ensign which is the entry level officers rank in the Battlestar Galactica Universe.
Here are the links for the manuals. Each has an exam at the end of the manuals and I even have Admiral Rivera's E-mail address to submit the completed exams to be graded. When you receive your wings and certificate of completion, most of us post it in our photos so everyone can see our dedication to the Battlestar and Squadron we serve here at the BFC.

Then there's the Colonial Defense Forces Operations Manual and Exam. I recommend anyone who's interested in the Military side of Battlestar Galactica to read through the manual, take the exam and earn the certificate that goes along with it. The CDF Ops manual is full of information as to how the CDF works from the many Ranks to every thing about active duty in the CDF. http://battlestarfanclub.com/group/flying-tigers-squadron-logo/foru...
If you remember, Admiral Adama was one of very few pilots aboard the Galactica who wore Senior Pilot Wings on his uniform. Adama was able to not only pilot a Viper, but he could pilot a Raptor as well. I recommend that all the pilots in my squadron take both Viper and Raptor exams so they can be all they can be aboard the Battlestar Raven BFC-002.
Good Hunting!!!
SO SAY WE ALL!!!!!
"Groups" can be found in the red link list above just under the Fan Club logo and above the "So Say We All" banner. The sixty or so Groups are Chapters, Ship Chapters, and Sub-Chapter Groups cover many areas. And the Leadership is open to adding more if you have a good idea. You can join several Groups and Sub-Groups, but only one ship. Some Groups will review your page before adding you to their roster, so be patient. See someone interesting or in the Ship or Group you like, send them a Friend Request. Members and Leadership will be glad to answer questions and comments. We are all here for the Friendship and the Fun. Enjoy.

Thanks for welcoming me aboard i have been a fan since i was a pup i welcome any advice.
Super J. Keep posting when you wish and the OIC will review your activity for final acceptance into the MARDET. Ask any questions that come to mind. We're all here for the fun and Friendship. Good luck and welcome aboard. Iceworm.
Good back ground. We could use a Comm Specialist in the Detachment. Of course all Members participate in our Main Chatroom scenarios as front-line Colonial Marines regardless of additional specialties: "Everybody jumps, everybody fights.". You seem to be well versed in BSG Canon, that's great. More later.
