Bio: The 1st American Volunteer Group (AVG) of the Chinese Air Forces in 1941–1942, famously nicknamed the Flying Tigers, was composed of pilots from the United States Army (USAAF), Navy (USN), and Marine Corps (USMC), recruited under presidential authority and commanded by Claire Lee Chennault. The ground crew and headquarters staff were likewise mostly recruited from the U.S. military, along with some civilians.

It was a lot of fun Hitman taking out a few toasters with you and Vampire. It brought back many happy memories of how active the Flying Tigers were in the beginning.
I know it this CAP was on very short notice, but way back you joined us for one of our airwing section missions and you did it from your cell phone to boot. If that isn't dedication I don't know what is. Those missions were 10 times more difficult than what we're doing today in the forum chat.

I would like to thank everyone for coming out and joining us for our celebratory CAP. I have posted it here as a discussion as well as a blog for everyone to read.
It was short notice so thank you all. It is because of each and everyone of you that we can do this.

Briefing;
Attention Tigers! Today we are going to fly CAP. The rotation has been adjusted so we are all up. This should be a very routine CAP but, as you all know there are no routine CAPS as long as those toasters are still out there.
With that being said all we will fly our standard finger four formation. The Major will lead us out in Flight 1 as usual and we will all fall into formation after that.
Just because this is a celebratory flight does not mean that there will not be party crashers out there so it is of the utmost importance that everyone stay alert. There is nothing i love more than a good recycling but we all are gonna make it home first.
So everyone make sure you do your preflight check and be ready to launch at 1800 hrs. Anyone who does not pass pre-flight will help the Chief with repairs to the deck.

Sounds like fun Hitman!!! I'll make sure my fuel tanks are full and my ammo is loaded. I'll even polish my missiles so they shine when they're launched. I'm sure the toasters we may encounter will appreciate my attention to details!!!!!

With all that has gone here lately it seems to have slipped by me that Nov 29th was the Flying tigers 4 year anniversary. To mark this day the Tigers will be flying CAP on Sunday at 6pm PST. Make sure your Vipers are tip top shape. I hope to see as many of you there as can make it.
