That's ok Rose, take your time with the test, I didn't submit my answers for more than a year after enlisting. You can still take part in the op which is being arranged by Freya of the Seekers. All operations take place in the main chat room on the home page, usually at 10pm EST (US) which is awkward for me as it is 04.00 here in Spain where I live.
Keep watching the homepage for more details about the op, have fun.
There's an op coming up on either the 11th or 25th of this month, will you be taking part? I would like you to be my flight leader with Poseidon as your wingman.
You also need to join the battlestar Raven group to be properly a member of the Airwing. I was a BFC member for over a year before anyone told me. I had enlisted through the Battletar Raven website too. Happy landings,
welcome to Perseus sqadron. You can find the Viper training manual by searching "colonial defence force Viper training manual". Have fun with the test.
All members that join as pilots start at the rank of Ensign. A Battlestar is like the modern USN Aircraft carries and the rank system follows as such.
In the discussion section of each of the Ravens squadrons you will find that we have training manuals for the Viper, Raptor and CDF OP's. You can read through the manuals and take a test at the end to earn your wings (Viper Raptor or both as many of us have done). The training manual discussions explain how to submit your exams to be graded. Once your exams are graded you will receive certificates of completeion as Jpeg images that can be printed and saved on your computer as well as on your page as a photo for all to see.
The CDF OP's training will earn you a certificate of completion. I recommend everyone to take advantage of these training manuals because they're packed with very interesting and useful information about BSG.
Welcome aboard the Battlestar Raven Rose, I see that you have received quite a welcome and it's great to have you join our crew!!!
I see your favorite BSG character is Starbuck. I’m a fan of everything concerning Battlestar Galactica. Being a Viper Pilot, my favorite character is Starbuck from both the Original and Re-imagined BSG. From a man’s point of view, when it comes to Cylon skin jobs, I’m partial to the 6’s and the 8’s.
As Ensign Aeneas mentioned, choose which ever Viper squadron you like. I have placed the Perseus squadron link at the top mainly because we are trying to revive the squadron. The ultimate choice is yours and only yours to make.
I’m Major Reamer, Battlestar Ravens CAG and squadron leader of the Flying Tigers. The Raven Airwing is always looking for a few more Viper pilots to join the group.
Battlestar Raven has become a Battle Group with the addition of the Gunstar Trireme. Gunstar Trireme under the Command of Col Leonidas is looking for crew members as well. Take a look at this link if you’re interested in joining the group: http://battlestarfanclub.com/group/gunstar-trireme-gsr-0201
If you decide flying a Viper isn’t for you, the Raven has many alternatives. Take a look at the Ravens web site at this link: www.battlestarraven-bfc-002.com Click on Ship Departments to see everything the Raven has to offer; you’ll be glad you did!!!!! The choice is entirely up to you. The site is under construction, but you can see all the Raven has to offer.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me anytime here at the BFC.
Greetings Rose, and welcome aboard the Raven! I hope you enjoy your stay with us. There are many different departments that may interest you...I hope you'll take the time to look over each one. I see you are interested in becoming a Viper pilot. The Raven Air Wing has 6 Viper squadrons and 1 Raptor squadron. However, if you would like to join the most elite and visible squadron in the Air Wing, I ask that you take a look at The Seekers, the Raven's Raptor squadron. I am Lt. Michael "Mik Mo" Morelock, squadron commander of The Seekers, and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask! First and foremost, have fun and have a great day!
Welcome to the Raven Air Wing, I am the new probationary lead pilot of the Perseus (611th) Fighter Squadron and am in need of new Viper pilots. For more information see the battlestarraven-bfc002 website, or this site under groups. Whichever squadron you choose, have fun.
