Bio: The 1st American Volunteer Group (AVG) of the Chinese Air Forces in 1941–1942, famously nicknamed the Flying Tigers, was composed of pilots from the United States Army (USAAF), Navy (USN), and Marine Corps (USMC), recruited under presidential authority and commanded by Claire Lee Chennault. The ground crew and headquarters staff were likewise mostly recruited from the U.S. military, along with some civilians.

Any one who would like to fly a Viper and join this group must first download the Viper Training Manual and complete the multiple choice test at the end:

Upon completion of the test, submit your answers to Admiral Rivera by E-mail at this address: cag_vf84@yahoo.com Admiral Rivera will grade your test and E-mail your score to you in a couple days.

There is a reason why the TOP GUN pilots on the Raven are the best in the fleet. TOP GUN status on the Raven can ONLY be attained by receiving 100 percent on their exam, on thei first try. That is why they are the ELITES.

You couldn't have said it any better Hitman!!! If the Nuggets learn the most things about being a successful pilot most of them will do just fine.
Nothing make me happier than to see new "Top Gun" award winners. I hope to see more aboard the Raven in the near future. Of course, new pilots aren't forced to take the exams, but I hope they do so they can be the best they can be.

As always, the standards to be a TOP GUN pilot on the Raven, will remain the same. In order to become a TOP Gun pilot, all new nuggets testing, will need to score a 100% on their first try. That is why, they are the elites of all the pilots in the fleet for only the Best of the Best names goes on the TOP Gun Wall.

I absolutely agree with you Sir. It was you who gave us the tools to make it back home. If it weren't for you I know a lot of us may have never came back. Now the Major gets to do it for the newbies.

My Point is If you can Teach A Nugget How to Kick ass,And Bring His/Her Butt Back Safely to Do it Again Another Day;Then you have Made A Difference;Personalities Really Don't Mean Much;Just make sure the Kids have the Tools.
