JR here again with The Cylon build continues.
As I mentioned in my last post, the first few attempts with the boot was a complete failure.
I used pottery clay to form the boot hoping it would dry allowing me to form the “WonderFlex” over it. Well it was easy to work with to a point but when it dried it cracked. This could have been because of how thick it was in places, but none the less, a disaster. I tried patching the cracks but that too was a failure.
So I opted to…

It has taken me a little time to decide just what to put on my page. Not that it is of any great importance to anyone in particular but I guess as a member of a fan club of this magnitude, someone may be interested in knowing a little more about its members and me as a new member.
As far back as I can recall I have had an inclination to build and make things. I have dabbled in so many projects, succeeded in some and failed in others but it never stopped me from trying something…

PS. Hey, JR. One last thought. I hope you can finish your suit in time. It'll be fun. Get lots of pics and post'em.
Buzzsaw out!
Yes. Here's a pic of Tim the Cylon with his human side showing. He's probably the guy to talk to about this stuff. https://www.facebook.com/TimtheCylon/photos/a.1501666720086683.1073741828.1501662676753754/1552735978313090/?type=1&theater
Here's a fun pic of the folks that suited up as Cylon Centurions at Galacticon 3 in Houston. http://www.cylonempire.com/cylonempire/EventsG3.jpg
Maybe I was wrong too...This MIGHT be the Tim the Cylon I was talking about. It's been a while. There WAS a gold command model there, but the guy I'm thinking of may have been in a standard silver costume. Pretty cool guy.
Okay, If I find out anything else, I'll let you.
Buy your command Centurion.
I don't think this is the guy I was thinking of, but you might contact him. Here's his Face Book. https://www.facebook.com/TimtheCylon
Hey, John Daniel. Hmmm...I really don't know of anybody building the NEW Cylon suits. There are several folks who have purchased TOS Cylon Centurion suits, silver and gold, and worn them at the conventions. I don't know for certain where they got them, but there are a few mail order groups that can make them. I would not expect them to be very prompt about getting them to you though. It's always like rolling the dice. Sometimes they're pretty quick, and sometimes it takes months and months. Anyway, the link for battlestargalactica.org I believe has some TOS Cylon Centurion suits. I forget the guy's name, but I think he goes by Tim the Cylon. He is really tall, and has a gold suit. He's one of the main Cylons who suit up. I'll try to find his info if I can and he could give you pointers.
Buy your command...
