Setting the Stage;
Looking down at the Command Centurion chasis the Old leader wondered how this model would react to the new brain.
Sliding his hands into the blue liquid he gently lifted the hybrid brain out of the goo. SLowly and very carefully he fit it down into the crainial cavity of the Command Centurion body.
already he could feel the biometrix vibrations as the chasis began conecting itself to the new brain.
stepping back Imperious Leader watched as the mechanical body connected itself with the brain.
it was amazing that it could connect so smoothly and quickly, making connections so that the basic functions of the body would come to life.
After the connections had all be made the head cover was sealed and the Scanner cover was fitted over the face area. The Scanner began to glow a bright red as the body came to life.
Now it was time to begin the download.
All Cylons had to have the basic programming downloaded into the brain once it was connected to its host body, This would be no different yet in some very interesting ways it was completely different. Never before had a cylon functioned with a single brain let alone had it ever had the capacity to contain all the information and data collected by generations of cylon exploration and domination.
A single brain that would replace the traditional 3 brain system of the Imperious Leader.
what would this mean for the Cylon race? would this Cylon be a great Leader? or a failed tragedy? it had been designed to better replicate the human.
Imperious Leader summoned the technicians into the room again and instructed them to call him as soon as the Download was complete.
3 yahren later.....
Centurion sat to the right of Imperious leader, The gathering throng of Leaders filed into the chambers to hear the Leader of the civilized Universe.
Centurion had a funny feeling that today would mark an important point in Cylon History. Today he would finally be allowed to address the Imperial Council. Centurion would outline his plan for reconciliation with the Humans. After almost 500 Yahrens of war Cylon would finally know peace. Centurion would forever be known as the great Peace Maker.
Walking to the podium Centurion scanned the room. All scanners were focused on him, he could feel the energy stabbing into his being, Most of the Cylons were afraid of the new Cylon, Centurion had all the memories and experiences of every Cylon Leader in History. He could pull up the feeling Imperious Leader had when the Humans first interefered in the war with the Hasari.
The infestation would be eradicated, Humans were nothing more than animals with the ability to smell bad and talk to much.
Standing before the Quorum Centurion began
“By Your Command” Pausing as was customary to await the approval of Imperious Leader pulled up the memory of Carrillon, the dark planet with the insectoid race. The Centurion commanding the newly created Garrison had easily convinced these pathetic creatures to obey or die.
Carrilon was a horrible hell hole for any Cylon, dusty and dirty, no spare parts and little or no contact with Cylon and the Cylon Collective. The Command Centurion could hardly wait til he rotated off this horrible little infestation.
“Speak Centurion” the reply came from Imperious leader
Shaking Centurion from his thoughts he began.
“The Humans have been to Carrillon looking for Tylium” He started.
Then adding “ Our Garrison has captured this small party and have begun interogations. One of the humans a Baltar has requested to speak to the Imperious Leader about Peace with the Humans”
Imperious Leader pulled up all records on the humans and the one called Baltar.
Baltar was one of the up and coming Council members on the human Quorum, he was known to take chances and to risk everything in the pursuit of self gratification. Highly respected in his circles it just proved that Humans were an infestation.
“You will go to the Planet Carrillon and negotiate a Peace accord with the Humans” he responded to Centurion
Secretly he hoped it would bear fruit and that this would allow the Cylons to move forward with Universal Dominance.
“By Your Command” Centurion replied and turn to leave.
More to come...

Her shift was nearing an end when Thea heard a very weak SOS signal being broadcast from the farthest fringe of the Pacifica’s communications range. Turning, she looked at the Commander, “Sir, I am getting an SOS signal. It is faint and on an old, but still good channel. Should I send the patrol to check it out?”
After obtaining her answer, Thea relayed the message. “Blue Leader, you are to check out an SOS at the following co-ordinates: 29-48-32. Proceed with caution and report what you find. Do not engage any hostiles, repeat do not engage any hostiles. Just report what you find and await further orders.”

When the word came through, Asten was assigned to Captain the ‘Search and Rescue’ (SR) Shuttle, just incase it was needed. Core Command had detected an S.O.S signal on the farthest extent of the Battlestar’s sensors. A typical scenario, but one had to keep vigil; long-range telemetry flights were rife with possible dangers.
Also assigned to the flight was a young Med-Tech, again just in case, who appeared to be having his first ever flight in a shuttle.
“And what’s that control for?” the Tech pointed to the panel under Asten’s hand. As the shuttle left the brightly lit landing bay, Asten was about to activate the cabin lights.
“It keeps the confused amused” Slowly Asten angled towards the co-ordinates of the signal, building speed all the time. Shuttles weren’t like Vipers. With only two main thrusters, vector control was a juggle between yoke rudder and engine out-put.
Since the horizontal co-ordinates were the same as the Battlestars, it was simpler to just throttle up with engines, Port side slightly more as he accelerated.
Time passed quickly on the flight. Asten turned as he heard the Tech returning “Find it all okay?”
“It’s not life support, but it’ll do” the Tech had been checking his medical supplies.
“Shuttle P.S.R 1, to Pacifica, receiving over!” Asten activated his comm-link.
“Is there a problem?” the Tech was confused as he reached his seat.
“We’re closing in on the co-ordinates and I have nothing on scanners. No signals, no source of origin” Asten checked the panels again.
“This is P.S.R 1, confirming flight vectors and source frequency, over!” Asten listened carefully as they were relayed. Before he could respond his cockpit displays lit up “Confirmed, just detecting the source now.”
His response drew the Tech’s attention. Asten looked out the starboard side windows, where the other had been looking “Something got your attention?”
“Oh, just looking at the Viper escort, incredible machines aren’t they? Just imagine what it would feel like to be in one” the man was beaming.
“Over powered, over gunned coffins” Asten wasn’t impressed “They’re probably upset at our top speed, compared to theirs”
“Any way to make it go fAsten?” the Tech seemed consumed with speed?
“Well I could colour it black and paint flames down the sides, at least it would make it look like it could go fAsten?” Asten smiled at the Tech’s disgruntled look.
A warning sound from the cockpit grabbed his attention “We’re coming up on the source.” Asten activated the center consul.
“What is it?” The Tech moved closer, all agog.
“Tell you in a flash. Computron has confirmed it as…” Asten quickly reread the screen several times. Although originally he had no idea what it could have been, with all the things it might have been, what it actually was was something he would have never imagined.

Thea smiled when she heard Lt. Asten’s voice come over the com channel. He came off as a bit grumpy but she thought he was funny. “Confirmed, Lt. You are to stay back while Blue Squadron checks things out.”
“Lt. Edan? What is your status? Have you found out what the source of the SOS is?” Thea sent over the comm. After not having heard from Blue Squadron. Core Command was beginning to wonder why they had only had a reply from the shuttle and not the viper pilots who were sent to check it out.
