"There are those who believe that life here began out there, far across the universe, with tribes of humans who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians, or the Toltecs, or the Mayans. Some believe that there may yet be brothers of man who even now fight to survive, somewhere beyond the heavens."

Blackstar Squadron

Welcome fellow warriors!  The Blackstar Squadron is a group that follows the classic BSG show.  We are gaining a strong following, and have recently hosted Noah Hathaway at the Dallas Expo.  We welcome all warriors to join our ranks.

The Blackstar Squadron was also recently accepted as the "classic" BSG squadron aboard the Battlestar Raven as part of her air wing. All Blackstar troops please head over there to join the fight. You can join the BSG Raven group here on the fan club site:

Most importantly--please visit the Battlestar Raven website to join the Blackstar air wing and help represent the classic BSG fan base here:

I will be posting detailed instructions on how to join shortly.  We're still putting everything together, and the air wing will be operational very soon.

Hi Everyone,

For those who know me and have read my Biography, you know I grew up watching many science fiction shows. I was 18 Yahrens old when the original Battlestar Galactica series was on TV. Like all of you, I was shocked when the series was canceled.

My brother and I worked for my father. My father's business was called Plainville Fabricating Company; it was a small family operated metal fabrication company. Back in 1980 we built the steel framework and structure of a buoy that was going to be placed off the California coast near LA.

My father and I went to California to assemble the Buoy along with an Engineer and a couple workers from the company that made the floats for the Buoy. It was a great experience for me at the age of 20 and I will never forget it.

When the job was finished my father and I rented a car (A Mercury Bobcat IE Pinto 4 speed stick shift) and did some sight seeing. We traveled north up Ventura Highway; it was great!!! All I could think about was the song by America titled Ventura Highway http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70E-f63_Jc4 and the fact that I was there seeing it for myself.

I got to drive up and down the hills in the City of San Francisco and let me tell you, there are many stop signs on those hills and  I'm driving a stick shift; it was quite an experience. We went to Sequoia National Park to see the giant Redwood trees and last but not least, we went to Universal Studios.

I was so excited because at the time Universal still had people dressed up walking around as Colonial Warriors and yes the Chrome Headed Cylons. I took lots of photos, but it was so long ago that I don't know what happened to my photos. If I ever find the them I will be sure to post some her for everyone to see.

Thanks for allowing me to join the BlackStar Squadron!!!!!!

SO SAY WE ALL! ! ! ! !

Hey Actual--drop the little ones off at the center. Maybe your 10-year old would like to help my daughter with organizing activities.
she could use some help...lol

I have a four year old and maybe I might also take my 10 year old to visit the Kids Activity Center.  I know the oldest of my three boys is off to do things on his own there.

Hey troops!
I'm now living in Houston. Get ready for Galacticon--Blackstar has some great stuff planned.
if you have kids attending--send them to the "Kid's Activity Center"--my daughter is running that and has activities planned.

Thanks, Actual. We will, hopefully use both at G3. The main "viper" banner as the flag and the black "patch" banner as our table cover.
